Is unchristian âm nhạc allowed?

Let me put it this way - the Bible isn't the only book bạn read, is it? Just because âm nhạc doesn't celebrate God and Christ doesn't mean it's not worth listening to. It's like thi ca and literature. Listen to what bạn want, just don't betray your own values and beliefs.

Besides, if it's really "un-Christian", just don't take its messages to heart. I think there are messages in certain teenage literature that is destructive, but I still read it to know what they're reading, and to be able to discuss it with them and set them straight. If bạn know the music, bạn can talk to people about why âm nhạc about, for example, having lots of sex and killing people, provides a perfect example of what NOT to do.

You're not a sheep, right? bạn don't just do whatever bạn see on TV. If bạn watch Law and Order, bạn don't go out and kill someone because that's what they did on the show. It's entertainment, not a morality lesson. But, like I said, bạn can MAKE it a morality lesson bởi using it as example of what NOT to do.

I listen to all kinds of music, whether it's Christian hoặc not. My family isn't really religious, so no one is there to try and stop me like in your situation. However, I do feel that it's okay so long as the âm nhạc doesn't push bạn away from Christ hoặc drive bạn to do weird stuff.

I listen all sorts of music, and most of'em are un- christian and I'm a believer. I think that those who are Jehovah's Witnesses are not allowed to listen any sort of âm nhạc except psalms. Of course i have also âm nhạc which is christian. But the most important is that you're happy and if you're happy when bạn listen un- christian âm nhạc then why not bạn can't listen it. We all are sinners and we can't live without doing sins. That's how's it been since human commoned a sin.
Becides Jesus forgives everyones sins. That's why He came to us to die for us so that we can enter to Heaven when we die and if we believe in Him.
    

It depends...there is a lot of non-Christian âm nhạc that is not bad at all, and there is some non-Christian âm nhạc that is bad. My parents don't really care about it as long as it's not really awful, but I do try to stay away from the bad music. If it is non-Christian âm nhạc but there is nothing wrong with it, then it should be fine.

As long as the words are not blasphemous to God. As as long as the words are not bad, hoặc evil, then why not lesson to GOOD music. I lesson to rock-n-roll. But I'm picky about which songs I lesson to.
