Biggerstaff Family Article: Confession article, Part 2

Last night, my parents were going to go out to a party. My mom đã đưa ý kiến she didn't feel an toàn, két an toàn leaving my brother alone with me, and she insisted that he go with them to the party. My brother didn't want to go, so he stormed up to his room and slammed the door. When my mom asked him to come down, he got upset and made a few less-than-polite retorts, including a particularly memorable "MAKE ME!". My parents got upset and blamed ME for his behavior, saying that it was because of my actions, instability, and behavior that was hiển thị him that it was "okay" to act that way/teaching him to act that way. My dad also đã đưa ý kiến something along the lines of, "You're destroying the way this family works", hoặc something like that when I đã đưa ý kiến it wasn't my fault my brother was diễn xuất like that. They did eventually agree to let us stay trang chủ together, and everything was fine.

I cut myself. I do it with a razor. Usually just when I'm upset hoặc depressed, hoặc when my parents act the way they did in the above paragraph. I also do it when I'm feeling especially self-conscious. Like when my mom sort of implied that she thought I was fat. Anyways, I was upset last night, so I cut myself on the various parts of my body that I'm particularly self-conscious about, along with my arms.

Part 3 might come along later, but siriusly, just tell me if bạn want me to stop posting these. Like I said, I don't want to burden anyone hoặc sound like a pain.

VampiresRevenge Wow, I don't really have any advice, because I suck at advice, other than that it will hopefully get better when you are able to move out and be away from your parents treating you like you said, especially in the first paragraph. And know that there are people who care about you. :)

snusnu13 OMG. I feel soooo sorry for you. That would suck. What you need to know is that it is not your fault at all. Your parents sound as if they're doing a bad job raising you and your brother, and instead of looking at their own parenting skills, they're blaming you for their poor parenting. Like VampiresRevenge is saying, there are people that care about you, and love you for who you are *hugs*

wotcher-tonks I really wish I can give you a hug right now. Please, PLEASE try to stop cutting! This really worries me...You aren't destroying your family! I'm sure there are people who care about you. I do, and so does every other Biggerstaff! :) Just know that all of the Biggerstaffs love you for who you are, nt what you look like. *hugs* Love you <3

harrypotterbest It's not your fault. Your parents shouldn't treat your brother's behavior as though it's your fault. You're not "destroying" the family, you're getting blamed for something that is NOT your fault :( Your parents should love you for who you are - and I bet they do, even though they don't show it. They're your parents, and parents always love their children (although sometimes they have odd ways of showing it >.<). Don't blame yourself for your brother's actions, because it is not your fault. Please don't hurt yourself :( You KNOW there are people who care about you, and by hurting yourself you're hurting them. Your parents are being stupid, none of what your brother did/does is your fault. And try not to feel self-conscious, I bet you're a very beautiful person. And always keep this in mind: We all love you. We're always going to be right here for you, so if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to talk to us. You're a wonderful, beautiful, amazing person, all of us Biggerstaffs are. <3

GemonkDruid I just wanted you to know that you are AN AWESOME PERSON for doing this. Siriusly, every day, I see people denying their problems and fears, and you just go and face your demons.

IzzyOzera I suck at advice but please listen DON'T hurt yourself. It doesn't help with your problems it makes them worse. And eventually it will get so bad you can't stop and you find a way to harm yourself with almost everything..... Now i feel really hyprocritical, but please listen to me when I say stop self-harming before it starts controlling you. And remember we all love you <3 and no matter what anyone says to you, you are an awesome person, and you are beautiful.

lucius_malloy do you have anyone you could stay with for a while, like a grandma, cousins, or something? cos maybe if you gave them some space or something... I dunno. it's worth a shot, right?

Quaila Dear Sir/Madame I don't know you, but rest assured that you have my deepest compassion as one who has attempted self-harm. I am at tear-point as I say this because of my inability to control my sorrowful emotions, but I confess here that I put a knife to my left index finger two months ago. I am no able advisor. I do not claim to be any person capable of even the feeblest advice. But I must say this, there is only one way out of this and it runs straight through what could be perceived as hell. I have gone to psychiatric emergency ward thrice, one in October 10, once one Valentines Day 11, and once in March 11. The first time I went there, it was for being suicidal, that time, everything went sloppy and there was no diagnose and no treatment, then I was coerced back into school. Which resulted in almost an apathic reaction and lead to a fever and a confused call to 112 on Valentines. It got me fully hospitalized for two weeks. I don't remember much of the third time in March... The point is, I did persevere, I did take the narrow path through mental hell itself. Now I have people listening to me, people who are not hostile, people who aren't stuck neck-deep in their own prejudices and people who understands me better than my parents do. My parting words are: Seek immediate medical help, persevere, persevere even if it's excruciatingly filled with pain, stand steady, let nothing affect your opinion, for whatever anyone says, whoever that says that, or insinuates or claimed to know about you, you know yourself the best, no one will ever know yourself better than you. 1-2vampire I have to say that your parents aren't helping you right now. They should stand by you and try and help you through it, not tell you that you're destroying the way the family works, or blame you for your brother's behaviour. As I said in part 1, we're here, and I guess you know that because you had the courage to confess and post these articles.

potterrox I know it's hard. I've has similar experiences, but they were nowhere near as bad. You should leave home, at least for a little while. From what I hear, that environment is poisonous, and it's not healthy for you to be there. Seek help, from friends, and most importantly, a professional. You can and will get through this, but you can't do it alone. There are people that love and support you, esp us biggerstaffs <3
