This is your third Maxim shoot...and we have to say, they just keep getting sexier!
I'm older and thêm comfortable with my femininity. The first time I was about 19 and was very nervous. I was thêm of a tomboy, I guess. I've always had a great time shooting with Maxim. I feel like it gives me my freedom. It's an edgy magazine, so it's cool.
What makes a woman sexy?
Attitude and confidence.
So, a new single and a new album to follow...
I have officially just wrapped the album. I've been working on it for about two and a half years. I've lived a lot, gone through a lot, and put a lot into my songwriting. These songs are very meaningful to me.
A lot of your songs have been about boys. Is that still the case on this album?
This album is the first that is not boy-bashing. [laughs] Is it inspired bởi my personal relationships? Yes. Inspired bởi life experiences? Yes. Inspired bởi experiences in situations with my family and friends? Yes.
What do bạn think of the new stars who have emerged since your last record, like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Ke$ha?
It's an interesting period in âm nhạc right now, very '80s and beat-driven. A lot of girls are really into their image and costumes and going over the top. I really like Ke$ha. Her songs are fun to party to, and her lyrics are hilarious.
There have been some notable meltdowns of former teen stars. How have bạn managed to avoid those?
I got here on my own. I came from a small town and grew up in a regular home. I know what I've worked hard for. I've seen a lot of people who have gone a little crazy and who are really into the Hollywood scene. I don't really like to hang out with people like that.
Are bạn able to play in private?
Well, there are a lot of paparazzi in L.A. The only time I really ever get photographed is if I decide to go out with my Những người bạn to a bar hoặc club, so then it kind of looks like I do that thêm than I do. The majority of time I stay in.
Do bạn laugh hoặc get irritated when bạn see stories about yourself in the tabloids?
bạn can only laugh at it and roll your eyes because it's like, "Really?" They usually just pull that stuff out of their ass, but I think people know that.

I care, but bạn can't please everyone. I'm here to create my âm nhạc and give it to the world.

Yeah-I'm really shy and quiet.
