Avril Lavigne: I'm very independent, but I tình yêu to be in love!

About your new album, Goodbye Lullaby, bạn told: "I've never shown myself from such an emotional side".

Of course all my cd's are personal, but Goodbye Lullaby is from a whole different level then my other work. The atmosphere is thêm consistent of all. Except for the first single What The Hell, which is an up-beat poprock song, the rest of the album is deep. I always write about things I experienced, for example a funny situation where I was in hoặc an adventure from a friend. The numbers on Goodbye Lullaby are very emotional this time.

They say Goodbye is your yêu thích track. What is the song about?

I wrote and produced this song on my own. It was very hard to do, because I put all my feelings and emotions in this song. I couldn't tell how people would react to this song. But.. I wanted to be true to the song. It's really hard to sing for me. I don't know if I'm going to sing this song live.
(The song is, almost sure, about the divorce with ex-husband Deryck Whibley, but Avril didn't want to xác nhận this.)

A song on your album and one of your perfumes is called Black Star. Is there a reason for that?

I've called my perfume Black Star, because it stands for 'Unique' hoặc 'being individual'. bạn know it's okay to stand out in a crowd. The message behind the fragrance is: do your own thing, follow your dreams! The song Black ngôi sao I wrote because everyone can interpretate this different. For me, personally, it means: be yourself, be who bạn are, it's okay to be different.

I'm very independent and a strong person, but I tình yêu to be in love! I'm going for a serious relationship, but bạn will never hear me talk about it. It's a subject I like to keep for myself.

Media accuse bạn of making advertisment for your clothing line and perfume in your video. What do bạn think about that?

Ha! bạn know, I've been around for 10 years in the âm nhạc and I've got the chance to experience other creative ideas like creating my clothing line Abbey Dawn. If Abbey Dawn would be a silly project I wouldn't let the name Abbey Dawn tattooed on my arm (shows us her tattoo). Abbey Dawn is a nickname my father gave when I was a child. It's a very big deal for me.
About the perfumes, it all belongs there. I create them, it's all me. And it's, just like fashion, a big part of what I do.

Is it right that bạn want a small collection of Abbey Dawn out every month?

Yes! It's available on abbeydawn.com for thêm then 50 countries. It's recently international available, so I'm so happy about that. It's not only for juniors any more. Abbey Dawn is for everyone. I have a new thiết kế team, and I'm busy making high heels and bags. The quality of the clothes had progressed.

How is your taste of clothes changed through the years?

I'm thêm into fashion then I ever was. Believe it hoặc not, but sometimes I wear a dress with high heels.

Well... I still like to wear baggy clothes. Also I'm very into sport: I like surfing, skateboarding, sailing, camping. Yeah, that kind of stuff!

Last question, bạn recently wrote on twitter: "OMG, I just got a Hello Kitty sk8board from "DAM" magazine. So dope!" Are bạn getting a lot of free stuff and what do bạn like the most?

The funny thing is, when I wrote about the skateboard, they sent me a bracelet as well. It's so cool. I think it's real silver. It's from Japan, they sent me a lot of free stuff. But I'm getting a lot less stuff then I used to get, haha!
