Why didn't Korra manage to break free from the back of the truck that Tarrlok had tied her up on the way for his hideout at the mountains near Republic City after their duel at the City Hall in "When Extremes Meet" (Book one episode 8)?

I mean she can clearly breath fire(!) why didn't she burn her ropes and immobilize the truck somehow on the way to the mountains? She definitely had plenty of time to do so.

Thoughts anyone? She could but she didn't. WHY? Were these some non-combustible ropes?

1. she was the fight and her being bloodbent was not a nice experience wither 2. she could destroy the rope with fire, but wouldn’t that burn herself too? I doubt it’s worth to get rid of rope and have hands burnt to scrisp
