Arthur và Gwen Câu Hỏi

1x13 (Le Morte d'Arthur) this time. Tell us your opinion as there has been some disagreement among some những người hâm mộ on certain things about these two scenes.

Q1: As Gwen speaks to the unconscious Arthur, do bạn think she has begun to have romantic feelings for him, hoặc that she is merely speaking about her hope and confidence in him as the future king? Tell why bạn think what bạn do.

Q2: When Arthur teases Gwen about having heard what she đã đưa ý kiến to him while he was "out," do bạn think he was flirting with her for the first time and starting to like her a bit, hoặc do bạn think he was merely teasing her to embarrass her about what she had done?

I'll try to make it brief because I have to write in this little box! (Guess I can't answer my own question.) My thoughts on this and I'm usually in the minority: I think we see in this episode the first stirrings of romantic feelings on both parts. In fact, I believe what the producers/writers did in this episode was brilliant. I think they ended Season 1 with the first stirrings of the romance. The Moment of Truth episode saw each seeing each other as an individual rather than a prince and maid. Each was impressed with what they saw. Even though I believe Arthur eventually fell harder and quicker into real love, I think the glimmer of romance started with her. I think in this amazing, touching scene where she's speaking to his heart, she's got something she's feeling beyond her hopes and dreams for Camelot, though Camelot was foremost in her mind at the time. When she kissed his hand I don't see the gesture as a servant kissing her sovereign, but to me she was a woman kissing the hand of a man who she's attracted to. He heard her and she got through. This could get rather deep, but that's partly why he heard her. They were starting right here to be drawn to each other. If it hadn't started here, I really don't think the happenings of 2x01 would have had the impact that they did. Yeah, she fell on hàng đầu, đầu trang of him and that was pretty "jarring" lol, but once inside, that look that transpired between them and the way their countenance was with each other (look at EPaws picture below) came from thêm than what had just happened outside. To me, something was already THERE. Call it attraction, romantic feelings, hoặc whatever. But that look he gave her and the way she responded, these kids were already dealing with something in my estimation and I think it started there in his chambers. Personally, I think it was a fantastic introduction to this epic romance! And for Q2, obviously after all that I just đã đưa ý kiến bạn can understand that I think he was doing a subtle flirting thing there, especially when he đã đưa ý kiến "Guineveeeeeeere" and reached out his hand. And she had the control to leave, lol! Well, a precursor for days to come, right? Looks like Issie and I come closest in our answers. It sure is fun how we can all see things differently and I enjoy all the viewpoints. I'm headed in a certain direction with all this so stay tuned.

Arthur và Gwen Các Câu Trả Lời

VampyreFey said:
So I'm probably going to sound like I'm babbling again, but I honestly enjoy answering your các câu hỏi Nanna! They get me thinking.

Q1: Okay, so this one is probably the harder of the two to answer. I don't think, on Gwen's part, that she truly understood what she had begun to feel for Arthur. She has had confidence in him and she has had faith in him and we start to see that in episode 10. We also see her developing as a character throughout the season, up to the point where she can stand up to him as she did in "The Moment of Truth." And Arthur admires her for that- he even shakes her hand before they begin to fight because they've reached an understanding. So Gwen's supposed "detest" for Arthur and his not caring for her since she's a servant immediately begins to dissolve. At this point, I think- from what I can see in S2 eps. 1 + 2, that Gwen does have some feelings for Arthur. But she does not understand thm and their too hidden for her to truly realize them. So while she's mainly speaking to him of her confidence, her hope, and her faith as he must become the once and future king, there may have been an underlying message as I am taking what I have seen in the beginning of season 2 into play. This scene with her holding his hand and talking to him was a hint, I believe to what they could become. Nonetheless, she [Gwen] has not realized anything yet.

Q2: Okay. So here's the deal with this scene. Arthur likes Gwen. Well, not in a romantic way yet, but he can definitely consider her a friend. He certainly is not trying to embarass her. It's an innocent teasing and proves that he is happy with what she said. I think it's very mild flirting, once again to hint hint the future, but neither really see it like that. Arthur is teasing her out of fun, trying to coax her to take down her guard with him.

I think both scenes, however, were vital to the growth of their relationship. As viewers we took it as a hint and it opened the gateway for a Kiss in season 2. At the beginning of the season. Without it, we would really not have any thing to truly base them on and "Le Morte d'Arthur" was therefore an important episode in their build-up. Those two little scenes opened the door for something thêm :)

Q1 - Definitely not re romantic. Something far thêm important, pivotal in fact, is going on here. She sees in this person, the ability to make a difference and this is where spiritual kinship begins and latent, distant affection. It is the first step to the blossoming of other potential emotions. She has begun to like this individual and what he could become, so she re-inforces her belief in what he could stand for.

Q2 - Again, not flirting, teasing. The same dynamic is going on here. He is recognizing the person within her and finds, he quite likes the individual, who intrinsically, he is recognizing has his back. Still, all tentative, but affirmative about who she is. There is latent acceptance. She treats him as person. He does not come across that often.

In short, they are 'seeing' each other as people.

Sorry. Was not my intention. This is one of my three favourites period. Great symbolism in their respective expressions. THey are not staring at each other they are ACTUALLY looking at each other. These kids are good. They get the point across with seeming no effort. It is right there.

Sorry guys...looks like I totally did that wrong...

Wow where to start. Q1...My answer is yes. Too me Gwen has always had an underlying crush on Arthur... but nothing she would ever think to act on. During s1e10 however,I think she began to realize that even if the crush was silly...she could shape his character. To me the 1x13scene is so sweet because bạn could see both but for practical Gwen the overiding emotion esp. after her dad's death was to make Arthur a better man.

Arthur was so flirting...or at least I think so. Forget his teasing tone...look at his expression and how it lingers even as she's leaving. Either it's directing hoặc Bradley is brillant but Arthur is emotionally repressed and starting here they hiển thị him expressing his longing for Gwen with those angst ridden stares we've come to tình yêu so much.

Q1. After her father's death Gwen was very disillusioned with her king. Arthur, as the future king, was her only hope for a Camelot she could be proud to call home. That was foremost in her mind. If there were any romantic feelings Gwen was not aware of them. The idea was just so out of the realm of possibility that her mind would not have ventured there. However, I believe she was starting to see him as a man, not just her sovereign.

Q2. I don't think he was flirting (although he does come across as a bit flirty, it is not his intention) hoặc trying to embarrass her. I think Arthur was just being Arthur. Wanting his ego stroked. He had also developed a respect for her bởi this point. Whereas before 1x10 he would have been dismissive of her as just a servant, now he sees her as a person with a mind of her own and a strong spirit. He is impressed bởi her. Again, the idea of a relationship with (or even just an attraction to) a servant is not even fathomable yet.

Basically what Issie & Stacey said.

I am so loving this. Everything bạn say is so well put, Daenerys, and as you're not ready to take quite as many steps as I have, I do agree that foremost in her mind was her hope for Camelot. And I do agree that they would both consider any kind of romantic relationship to be unfathomable at this point, I think they continued with that perspective even to mid Season 3, but yet, those feelings were there and I see them as stirring even here. Thanks for thinking this whole thing through and expressing yourself so well, Daenerys. I want your perspectives on the tiếp theo ne coming in a couple of days.
