I'm new to anime, so I don't really know what to watch yet. Could someone tell me some good anime for newbies? :)

Well, bạn can really watch anything! It depends on your interests. The first anime I really actually watched intentionally was đào Girl. I didn't end up liking it because it was a little too focused on romance. I like something based on romance, but with tragedy and comedy written over it.
I really liked Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club. So, I'll reccommend that. My Những người bạn deeply reccommended InuYasha to me, too, so I guess I'll suggest that as well.

Hm, well, there's not any animes that are simply for beginners...just read a mô tả of them and check the genres to see if it sounds like something you'd like. Just don't watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya just yet. I just started watching it, and it confused the hell out of me (the episodes aren't in chronological order, apparently...).

Anyhow, a good place to view anime's genres, description, and age range (or just browse) would be animefreak.com. Hope this helped! :)

to behonest it's up to your intrests and likings. for me i liked rumiko takahashi style (romance/comedy/action) so first i chose Inuyasha then urusei yatsura then ranma 1/2. over all, i liked Inuyasha the best
