Hutch had come with Humphrey at the order of Winston and at the request of an Alpha female, Luna. Hutch could tell that she had feelings for his brother, but he doubted that Humphrey had noticed; he was too caught up in self-pity.

Kate slammed a paw into the ground, "Fine! I'll find him on my own, then." she stormed out of the den.

Hutch ran past her and stood in her way, "There is a train going bởi tonight and another one tomorrow afternoon. We'll rest tonight, eat as much as we can,and then tomorrow, we will bring him back."

Humphrey began to struggle even harder, almost shaking Kate off of his back. "Humphrey, calm down! I'm not going to kill you," she lifted herself off him, "it's me, Kate."

Humphrey looked at her with eyes wide with bewilderment that were overcome bởi sadness and were filled with rage. "Why are bạn here?" he growled.

Kate stared at him, "I came to bring bạn home."
