(June 4, 2011)
(this part takes place after my various surgeries)
From the drug-addled haze that being sedated was, I emerged into the light and heat of reality. The first face I saw was that of my loving Alpha, Scar. She looked down at me, worried.
"Hi, baby," I mumbled. She laughed.
"Hey, bạn druggie," she đã đưa ý kiến back. The twinkle in her deep brown eyes told me that she was just playing with me.
When I woke up, the morphine had worn entirely off. I was clear and levelheaded again.
I blinked and looked around to see Scar trying to open the window. She didn't know I was awake yet, determined as she was to open that insufferable window.
Seeing as she didn't know, I put my head back on the pillow, closed my eyes, and murmured her name.
"Scar..." I đã đưa ý kiến softly and indistinctly.
Through the crack in my eyelid, I saw her jump a mile in the air.
"Colby?" she đã đưa ý kiến uncertainly.
I froze. She hopped down off the đi văng and came over to my bed.
I spoke again. "Scar, don't put the coconut in the stereo..."
Scar busted out laughing. Rarely had she heard me say anything so strangely bizarre.
She put her forepaws on the rail and nudged me with one of them.
I kept a straight face for the first few pokes, but Mất tích it. I started laughing myself, and she swatted my arm.
"You dork!" she laughed.
I caught her paw.
She stopped messing about and smiled warmly at me.
I saw the twinkle in her eyes and knew what she was thinking.
I bent over and landed a little Kiss on the tip of her nose. She sneezed, but still looked lovingly into my eyes.
Her ear flicked.
Her deep brown eyes sparkled and she jumped up on the giường with me. I raised my uninjured hand up to her face and caressed the soft lông, lông thú under her jaw.
She pressed her mouth against mine and kissed me, long and sweet.
The feel of her tongue against mine sent all kinds of feelings down my spine.
Scar was all over me when the door opened.
The handle on the door turned, and it swung open on squeaky hinges. Doctor Mariano came through and stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of us.
"Just what do bạn think you're doing?" he asked, stunned.
Both of us stared at him, scrambling for something to say.
"Oh, heh-heh... Wasn't I supposed to be doing this?" remarked Scar. I laughed.
"No. No, you're not. bạn shouldn't even be on that bed!" Mariano snapped.
Scar scrambled off the giường in a heartbeat while I glared at the doctor.
When he left, he gave us a final glance back. One that was loaded with disgust.
I flipped him the bird.
Scar laughed.
The instant the door closed, Scar was back up on the giường with me, but the magic was gone, shattered bởi Mariano and his intrusiveness.
