Seriously! As much as i love this song for Brucas, Jeyton, Skate etc. If you actually listen to the words of this song & take an unbiased, objective look at the Clark/Lana relationship... it is SO FITTING.

Look at how long Clark pined for Lana, how long they loved each other and had so many obstacles they had to get past... And there they were, both strong young adults, no more secrets in the way of them being together and they LITERALLY had to choose between being together and letting tons of innocent people die. Of course Lana chose to make the ultimate sacrifice - give up the love of her life in order to save the city from the Kryptonite bomb Lex had set off.

I still remember the first time the episode aired... Watching Clark beg Lana to stay, pleading with her that they could find some way to still be in each others lives. Even if they couldn't get within a certain distance due to her taking in all the Kryptonite, he told her they could still see each other from afar, they could figure it out... And Lana telling him that was the difference between them - she wasn't strong enough to go day after day seeing him but not being able to BE WITH him =[ Ughhhhh so fucking heartbreaking! And the kiss... JFC! Talk about the most heartbreaking last kiss =[

^I agree with eveything you've said Holly :) Though I see it as Clark's POV so the only line that doesn't fit is "But now I'll go sit on the floor, wearing your clothes" -> LMAO !! :D

I see it from both of their POV's though - i think they both truly believed that they were meant to be with each other and were going to spend the rest of their lives together...

classic Taylor Swift song ...its like she was made to write songs like these ...
imo it fits a lot of couples ...but the 1st to come in mind was Nate and Serena ...
