If it meant keeping my kids safe .. and knowing that they know how to protect themselves from the thing that killed their father then yes, I probably would.
I would train them to take care of themselves but I wouldn't drag them from town to town hunting things. I wouldn't make them think that that was the only life they could have. Plus, I'm not that much into revenge. My focus would be taking care of my kids first and foremost. Only if I thought that they were actively being hunted themselves would I keep them on the move. And according to the comics, that's what John thought. He had recurring proof that something was out to get his sons.
It depends, I agree with both Dean-girlx and fanfly. If I thought they were being hunted by the thing that killed their father than of course I would raise them to protect themselves and keep them on the move. Better they be a little unhappy at times and safe, than happy and dead. But it really depends. I don't think I'd be out for revenge, but I'd be out for justice, especially if this thing was trying to take my kids away as well.
