she is soooo helpful, there's gotta be something more to that all "i'm the nice girl"..freaks me out that sh keeps giving Sam the inside track on the whole process without really telling him what it's all about...so many questions here...

I'm sure she has some ulterior motive(I've never bought her "I love kittens" routine), but I really don't think Sam's going to be Lucifer's vessel. It just doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would Lucifer need a tricked out vessel? It's not like a demon's powers are diminished when they're wearing a meatsuit. So what difference does it make what vessel Lucifer takes?

Yeah, I do that sometimes too. And there was a time that I did think that Sam would be Lucifer's vessel, but the more I thought about it, the less sense it made. But I guess it's still a possibility- but to satisfy me they'd have to come up with a reason why Lucifer needs a special meatsuit

With Eric Kripke almost anything's possible! That's a really neat idea; it could mean she's working with Lilith, or she is Lilith - I find it strange that Lilith would send Ruby back to kill Sam and not aggressively pursue her when she saved him instead.
If the plot is heading towards Sam and Dean fighting each other, that would be a good way to present Lucifer; no one has any idea what he looks like. (And it would be an excuse to have some very high power work through Dean.)
Yeah, there's something nasty ahead and I hope both boys are up to it. :)

Lucifer is an Angel, no matter what, that fact won't change, Demons can't even begin to compare to Angels, I doubt Sam would be a vessel, more like a Sargent of Lucifer... keep the Demons in shape, tight reign and all that. He could possess anyone, he's got his Angel of Darkness tricks, what does he need Sam for other than the recruiter, or fear factor in Hell? Ruby must know this and wants to keep Sam on her side.
