But actually the reason I started was for the plot, which is actually pretty unusual for me! Usually I start watching a show if I see a character or ship I think I'd like, but the concept was the selling point this time.

It's always my instinct to pick character, but the plot is pretty high up there too. Plus, in ST, it's a bunch of characters as opposed to my usual 'if my precious dies, I'm outta here'.
