Kick him really hard then tell your friend to break up with him! And get a restraining order! Seriously, don't go to fanpop for this kinda stuff!

Many people in abusive relationships often believe the deserve what they get and it is all their fault, and would probably be unable to go to the police themselves due to the fear of being blamed again.

This actually happened once. He didn't abuse her physically, just emotionally, and I couldn't do anything because he lives in a different state. I cussed him out through the phone, though.

I'd call the cops on him. But before that, bạn need to talk to her about it (or him. I dunno what sex your best friend is) and see what she says about it. If bạn already have, police is your best bet.
