Well Twilight could have been eating meat when eating the burgers in Twilight Time.

They have made the ponies act a lot like humans. I believe, this "Equestria" is supposed to be their version of America.

Well, they are a herbivorous species! Pinkie Pie even mentions that in "Over a Barrel", as something that ponies have in common with buffalo. Though I've noticed them have some meat-like stuff in some episodes (makes you wonder what it is).

But I suppose there's a good chance Fluttershy would also be, by choice, if she were human.

Well this is an animation. So of course not all of them are vegs. In one episode there was a hot dog stand. Ponies are herbivores but still, this is an animation so they can make them eat meat if they want to. Not all animal shows go what's based on the animal's diet.

I don't think liking animals is connected to her diet. You can love animals and eat meat at the same time. Really, it's just preference.

@NocturnalMirage Yep. I am a zoologist, veterinarian, AND marine biologist. I think I know (we all know, actually) that all horses, donkeys, and other equines are ALL vegans. Btw, Twilight was eating a daisy or hay sandwich, if you look closely. She was eating fries too, which are potatoes, so yeah.

i think she is a vegetarian cuz she loves animals and she is nice to all animals so obviously she's a vegetarian.
