In the book, Miss Honey tells Matilda that her father and Miss Trunchbull called her Jenny. In the movie, her father Magnus called her “bumblebee” instead, and her aunt Agatha Trunchbull called her Jen (in one scene). Her real first name is Jennifer, with Jenny for short. :)
