INFINITE\'s Hoya talks about his bad relationship with his father + paying off his family\'s debt

INFINITE\'s Hoya discussed his family on the recent recording of MBC\'s \'Quiz to Change the World.\'

He said, "After I dropped out of high school without telling my parents, all ties with my father were severed."  He was revealed to have engaged himself in school work with the hopes of entering a police academy, but decided to drop out after he started to dream of becoming a singer in the third year of middle school.  

He said, "My relationship with my father was never good, but it worsened after I dropped out of school.  We did not contact each other for eight years."

He also said, "When I was young, my parents bought me everything I wanted, so I thought we were well off, but I found out we had a hard time and a lot of debt to the point there was a red foreclosure sticker on our house.  As I started to earn money, I paid off all that debt."

These are the things I wish haters would understand. A lot of idols have harsh backgrounds that should be appreciated. So many people hate just assuming idols are spoiled brats that didn\'t have to work hard to get where they were. As for Hoya, I will always support you!

thats why theyre haters. They just hate on anything, i never take them too seriously! Im not an infinite fan, just because I never had the chance to get around to their music, but i appreciate idols with good attitude that works hard. :)

awww, much respect for him. despite ill relationship w/his father, it takes one hell of a person to prioritize family over spoiling oneself w/all that kind of money.

This is practically  Sandara and Thunder\'s life story,but only worse...their Dad falsify Dara signatures and name for his anomalous business transaction,that\' s why when evrything went wrong the creditors and the obligations to pay fall on Sandara\'s shoulder...Hoya and the Park siblings fighting!

Everybody goes through a fighting peroid with their parents,mine started right after turning into my teen years,me and my dad used to fight all the time,our relationship is better now,and I\'m sure that Hoya\'s dad must proud of him for achieving his dreams and also helping his family.    

This is really sad. His father\'s behaviour is unacceptable, he should have known better. 

Uhh what? Are we reading the same article? "After I dropped out of high school without telling my parents" If you were a parent and came home one day to find out your child has dropped out of school randomly, how would you react? Good luck to you when you have kids smh.
