I'm still going to watch it, but not really looking forward to it. Ideal ending at this stage would be Ghost arriving in KL, biting Jon's hand when he goes to pet him, trotting into the Throne Room and taking a leak against the Iron Throne, then giving a growl of disgust before leaving and heading off back up North. Roll credits. XD
I just want it to end so I can start my rewatch, and then find out which episode I will be calling The Official Series Finale. (The point at which all future rewatches will end.)
I'm already re-watching. Currently on Season 4 episode 7. I started re-watching after episode 3. Was so pissed off that the Night King was defeated so quickly. I really thought - especially after all of the build-up throughout all seven seasons - that the Army of the Dead wouldn't have been confined to Winterfell alone. They had a zombie dragon FFS and the Night King never thought to travel further afield before trying to finish off all at Winterfell?
@Ranty-cat. Yay! :D I'm re-imagining the ending. I haven't written fanfics in years. :) Just hoping that there will be a few unexpected twists.... But, judging from what we've seen, it's doubtful.
@xoheartinohioxo Yeah, I'd love if by some miracle The Hound survived, but it's just wishful thinking on my part. Otherwise, much as I loathed her, Cersei was a great character and she deserved a more memorable death. Therefore, I'd love if it turns out that she's still alive. I don't really care about Jaime, because his character development was completely destroyed.
@black : Whatever that is left, even a twist can't grab my interest. The only twist that can surprise me would be they saying " haha got you! It was all a joke! The real season 8 is coming next year. It was just an experiment to see how fan would react to alternate timeline made by D&D themselves (which obviously suckkk) LOL niggas. See you soon. "
I'll watch it to the bitter end just because I might as well now. Shocked at how bad the writers have been this series. Like watching something written by a couple of teenage geek boys. Nonetheless, I do feel slightly for them. They have royally fucked everything up this season and will be forever remembered for that.
@Ranty-cat Yeah, that would about the only thing that would surprise anyone. At this stage, an ending where it has all been the Mad King's nightmare - all eight seasons of it - wouldn't be so hard to imagine; given the way they messed everything else up. Imagine: Mad King: ''Rhaegar, my son, I had the most terrible nightmare. I dreamt that I was mad and caused much destruction. Destruction that resulted in the making of a TV show that spanned eight seasons. So many people died, and Robert Baratheon took our throne ; an act of usurpation which led to what is known as ''the Game of Thrones.'' Rhaegar: ''Father, perhaps you've been working too hard. Either that or you had terrible indigestion.'' Mad King: ''Lest there be truth to that dream, I have decided to take the Black. And I shall remain at the Wall, twiddling my sane Royal thumbs until a satisfying eighth season of Game of Thrones is made. Then I shall be free to lose my mind again.'' Rhaegar: ''Excellent idea, Father.'' Roll credits. XD
@TheHound1 Yeah; same here. Been watching since day one and I will see it through,. It's a shame, that after six good seasons - I felt the decline in the seventh - this eff up of an eighth season is all it'll be remembered for. Ah, well... At least we still have the books.
