They both love their fathers a lot, but I think Tiana is closer to her father than Mulan is. I see Mulan's relationship with her father as partly honour and respect, while Tiana's I see as genuine closeness and affection.
I agree with milkyway but we also hear Tiana talking about doing her dream for her father even after he's gone. I feel like Tiana and him had a stronger connection.
seeing how Mulan was willing to send herself to DEATH one way or the other so her father can live plus how much she wanted her father to be proud of her and how her father was so willing to cheer her up after her failure and his overwhelming relief that his daughter was alive and well speaks volumes on how much Mulan and Fa Zhou loved each other
Guess I missed the part where Tiana's home was at war? Why are people always comparing Mulan's situation t everyone else's? NO OTHER DPs had to deal with war besides Pocahontas.
And yeah, Mulan seems a little afraid of her dad. Not to mention she admits see only partly went to war for him. Tiana does all she does based on her love for her dad, the values he taught her, and what he would have wanted.
