Kat-chan is right, they are completely unrelated series, the characters just happen to have the same name. There are actually quite a few characters named Haruhi in anime, its a rather common name.

No, they are not the same. Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran is not the same at all... It is also not a sequel in any way whatsoever. Just a ngẫu nhiên coincidence... hoặc just the fact that a lot of Japanese names get over-used in anime. Lol.
