anime hoặc manga bạn think has the wrong target audience
Once in awhile you'll come across a series with a shounen hoặc shoujo label where half hoặc thêm of the những người hâm mộ are the opposite of the target gender, & after watching hoặc đọc it, you're thinking "are bạn freaking kidding me? How can this demographic be right?"
Gokusen: It's Jousei, aimed at older women, & it's damn funny, but I can totally see this being really được ưa chuộng with men. bạn can watch it back to back with Sukigake Kuromatei Gakuen (Cramortie High) & GTO. (The J-drama sucks, but women seem to like it).
Gensoumaden Saiyuki: The first anime I've ever known to smartly change it's demographic from Shounen to Jousei. Guys have told me that despite the amount of bare breasts in season 1, it's overtly homoerotic.
Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler: Somehow this is in a shounen manga. The mangaka has a history of nghề viết văn Yaoi & Syota/shotacon mangas & doesn't hide that fact very well. In fact, each story arc in the manga, bạn can tell she's not even trying to appeal to male những người hâm mộ anymore. The 2ed live musical & 2ed season of the anime back this sentiment up.
Slayers: One of the best dubbed anime series I've ever seen & just as good in Japanese. This is the most girl-power shounen series ever; even having a bitchy flat-chested protagonist with pants who can blow up entire cities. bạn don't think of it much, but pants are pretty rare on women in anime.
Axis Powers Hetalia: This is seinen? It's one big gay joke. I don't know of any male fans.
Drug & Drop: Originally titled "Gouho Drug" hoặc "Legal Drug," this CLAMP series used to be shoujo & switched to a seinen magazine, despite it not toning down the homoerotic undertones one ounce, & that kind of thing appeals thêm to women.
Petshop of Horrors: Targeted at women in Japan, & bạn bet it's got female fans, but this is one men shouldn't pass up if bạn tình yêu a good Horror Mystery. It's the goriest shoujo tiêu đề I've ever seen.
(Incidentally, if bạn know of any other incredibly slashy shounen series hoặc shoujo series
