final full gig before their hiatus last week, our hearts are filled with sadness that we’re going to have to say goodbye to OT4 for a bit, but at the same time we’re buzzing af because surely Zayn Malik’s debut solo single should soon be upon us, right? Right.

Although he who shall not be named (no, not Voldemort) made up some ridiculous stories about the end of 1D, one thing did get us thinking… maybe Zayn really did leave to get a head start on his solo career.

As we all know and remember, back in 2010 Zayn used to perform R&B covers on Twitcam to show what music he would have preferred to be performing on ‘The X Factor’, so we’re guessing R&B will feature heavily in his solo music.

His former friendship with Naughty Boy also helped us to guess the style of music that Solo Malik will release. Especially since those ‘I Won’t Mind’ and ‘No Type’ leaks…

We already know that Zayn is signed to RCA Records and is working on his album in America with Frank Ocean’s Malay.

Oh, and of course there’s the fact that Zayn will absolutely slay 2016.
