The Plot:

The film is about Anna, a socially uncomfortable young girl. She lives with nice, but suspicious foster parents. Due to some problems she spends some time with her uncle and aunt. While there she becomes best Những người bạn with Marnie, a mysterious girl.

Anna: The protagonist of the film. Anna is a young girl who is very depressed. She's a foster child who's upset that her foster mom is getting payed to take care of her. Anna likes to draw pictures of a mansion.

Marnie: The deuteragonist of the film. Marnie is a mysterious blonde girl that Anna meets. The two of them develop a close bond. Marnie lived in the mansion that Anna liked to draw.

Sayaka: Sayaka is a girl that currently lives at the mansion that Marnie used to live at. Sayaka becomes Những người bạn with Anna.

Kiyomasa Oiwa: Anna's friendly, goofy foster uncle.

Setsu Oiwa: Anna's nice foster aunt.
