Người dơi is one of the franchises that I've had the longest history with. I've spent lots of time with superhero franchises, but the time that I've spent with Người dơi is on a whole other level.
người hâm mộ from the beginning of life:
The earliest memory that I have is watching a Người dơi cartoon on the TV. I was already fascinated bởi Người dơi before learning a majority of basic life skills.
A kid's first collection:
The earliest things that I can remember collecting are related to Batman. Ever since I was a little kid, I was getting some of the coolest Người dơi toys in addition to getting various Người dơi VHS tapes and various other Người dơi products. A lot of the Người dơi toys that I got as a little kid are still in my collection to this very day.
Trying to be a cool, edgy Người dơi fanboy:
When I was younger, I was entranced bởi the darker versions of Batman. I felt like I was led to believe that the thêm intense, dark and adult Người dơi was, the mát, máy làm mát he was. I wanted to read the darker comics and see the Người dơi films that were made for grown-ups. As a kid, my yêu thích Người dơi was Michael Keaton. I thought he set a standard for Người dơi that nobody could top, because of how cool, edgy and mysterious he was.
Losing interest in dark Batman:
As I got older and my opinions on the morality of Giải cứu thế giới changed, I started having issues with the darker versions of Batman. I started realizing that a lot of the darker versions of Người dơi were jerks to their Justice League teammates and their sidekicks. It was hard for me to be smitten with the dark knight anymore.
Adam West becoming my hero:
Oddly enough, Adam West became my yêu thích Người dơi because of Family Guy. At the time, I wasn't watching Batman, so Adam West became my yêu thích Người dơi just because I liked him as the mayor in Family Guy. I started gaining an appreciation for uplifting, wholesome heroes. This led to me gaining a new appreciation for Adam West as Batman. I started rewatching some Người dơi hoạt hình that Adam West did voice work for. When Adam West passed away, a part of me felt broken. Ever since I was a kid, Adam West had been synonymous with wholesomeness for me, so losing him wasn't easy for me. Losing various người nổi tiếng hasn't been easy for me, but Adam West was the one actor whose passing made me break into tears.
However, Adam West's legacy continues giving me uplifting happiness and enjoyment. In gần đây years, I have been watching and enjoying Adam West's Người dơi shows. Adam West's sweet, fun take on Người dơi has brought me thêm genuine happiness and inspiration than any trước đó version of the character.
Learning the truth behind Batman's creation:
As a kid, I was led to believe that Bob Kane created Người dơi on his own. I had heard of Bill Finger, but I was under the impression that he was just one of many people who worked on some of the earlier Người dơi comics. When the truth came out that Bill Finger was the secret creator of Batman, I was shocked. I wanted to believe in Bob Kane, but when evidence came out, it became clear who really brought Người dơi to life. I've had years to process this information, so I've learned to forgive Bob Kane as a person. I consider him to be a great artist and an important part of getting Người dơi made even if he's not Batman's true creator. To me, Bill Finger was the creator of Người dơi as well as the tim, trái tim and soul of the Người dơi franchise.
Goodbye to Dark Batman, Welcome in Adam West's Batman:
While I still adore Michael Keaton and Tim Burton's darker take on Batman, I have let go of my tình yêu for most of the darker versions of Batman. I realized that the darker versions of Người dơi weren't giving me the happiness and enjoyment that I was craving. I came to realize that Adam West was the Người dơi for me. He has solidified himself as the true Người dơi in my heart.
