Chapter Two
I awoke in a white room, the light stung my eyes slightly but they soon adjusted. I was on a small giường which was also white, and a wooden chair and bedside bàn were nearby which were, never guess what, white. The room was sterilised and mùi, nấu chảy ra weird. There was a strange device in my mouth which had dozens of tiny wires going through it. I tried to remove the device and succeeded but after a voice came from a white speaker in the corner of the room,
“Leave that in” the voice was unmistakably female, but a worn voice of a tired woman.
“Why” I asked, obviously she had expected a malicious answer hoặc a hiss but it was just my normal, placid, kinda friendly voice.
“It’s – erm... it’s for your... fangs” she uttered the last word in embarrassment.
Again I stifled a laugh “well I haven’t got any so I don’t need it.” I pulled my lips apart to prove it but cracked up laughing. She laughed too but then coughed I guessed she was around others. I heard the microphone go off.
A few days passed and I acted as normal as possible breathed a lot and made sure my tim, trái tim was beating all the time, since they had monitors on me at all times. Somehow they know my name but I have not told them anything. The countless amounts of các câu hỏi I haven’t answered are making them impatient. Today though, I am going to answer them with a joke too make them either kill me hoặc release me, the latter isn’t very likely.
The questioners walk in with their usual clipboard and tie, but this time, under the clipboard lay a plastic bag of a deep red liquid that sloshed around slowly. Blood.
Blood was in no was attractive too me right now, I mean it would have been but blood is like a commodity not necessary in the average ngày of a young vampire, soon it will taste nice but for now it’s just ... weird.
“How many times must I say it I don’t drink blood. It’s all coppery and bloody, but what I do like is KFC, if bạn got me a boneless bucket I might talk to someone, but only of my choice.”
“Ok who?” đã đưa ý kiến the stumpy fat one who I will now call Kankles.
I pondered the thought for a while, and then remembered my joke. “Someone my own age”
“How old is that” đã đưa ý kiến the other, a tall lanky one who reminded me of Peter Crouch, he can be Crouchy
“One- ...” As I nearly đã đưa ý kiến my real age I stopped myself and realised I looked about fourteen, so I would say “Fourteen, I’m not a real vamp yet , just Human” I smiled cheerfully and started humming the tune to All That Jazz ( WHAT Just because I’m a Vamp doesn’t mean I haven’t seen Chicago)
The tiếp theo ngày I was awoken with an alarm which was already a stranger to my eardrums. Kankles and Crouchy stood bởi my bedside bàn with a struggling boy in their arms. He was a puzzling creature. caramel, kẹo caramel skin, with dazzling eyes a pale colour of brown, his hair was short and kept out of his face, he looked onto me in utter disgust.
“This will be staying here with bạn now Miss” Kankles spat giving a disgusted look towards the boy.
“Surely we cannot both live in this prison of colour” He smiled slightly at my joke and briefly stopped struggling “and what of his bed”
“You will both be moved to a new room with two separate beds and” he coughed and uttered the last word “It is more...coloured” He through the boy to the floor and grinned as the boy didn’t get up; he looked from Crouchy to me. After a prolonged silent look at my glare his smile faded. They both hustled out.
I slipped a cái gối, gối under the boys head and returned back to my sleep. It was plagued with nightmares. Shadows emerging and grasping at my heels, I run away, like every time, to the ever waiting arms of my Goddess, but it’s too late the shadows slowly bring me back to reality.
“Urg” I say disappointed with myself. bạn see most ma cà rồng see what powers they get briefly in dreams like that, they use their powers to reach their God hoặc Goddess. Another reason I’m different, i haven’t seen what power I’ve got, I’ve seen what most people would call me trying and succeeding but trying again and failing. Sometimes I fly sometimes I run it is all very confusing but I never have the foggiest idea what is going on.
There was movement to my left, the boy was awake. He looked at me with cold eyes.
“What are you?” He spat
“What?!, bạn shouldn’t come here with that attitude we’re gonna be spending a lot of time together so here’s a tip be a little nicer” Gosh! “So do bạn have a name hoặc what ?”
“Of course” he looked down at the floor he laid on, obviously seeing the truth in my words.
“Care to tell me what it is?”
“Aiden”
“Aiden eh?”
“Yeah” he looked at me “And what’s yours, Rosalie hoặc Alice hoặc something vampirey?”
“ Oh my gosh that’s a horrible stereotype” I acted shocked. Then we both burst out laughing. After several phút of laughter I looked at him. I wiped a tear of joy from my eye and đã đưa ý kiến “Elayia, not ‘Vampirey’ at all. Then we both laughed
