I think there would be. It is true that as long as people are comfortable, they are complacent, and they will generally tolerate injustice until it becomes personal. However, not everyone fits this bill, and remember: it was America that established the first fully democratic state on the face of the earth! There's hope in that, as far as I'm concerned...
