She could have thought of many other storylines. One of the main points about the series is that Bella has to sacrifice things to be with Edward - but Stephenie obviously wasn't brave enough to risk not writing a completey happy ending for everyone.

Bella was only 18 when she got pregnant, and she was only 19 when she had her baby. That's too young to have a baby, no offense to anyone who's had children that young. Bella had barely started to live, let alone give birth to another person. What was Stephenie Meyer thinking?? And Bella didn't have to give up anything. It was just ridiculous.

Edward, Bella and Renesmee got to be the first real BIOLOGICAL vampire family. for me it's just wonderful...

i had my daughter at 17 and she now is 16 an am 33 but got to say it was the best thing i ever did....x
i think BD is one of the best stories of the series and she wrote it brilliantly....x
and for the people that arnt happy with it sos but free speech and all that....x

I love to describe the book as "captivating" and noting, "While this novel is darker and more mature than the earlier titles, Meyer's twists and turns are not out of character". Breaking Dawn, is a new beginning of Bella's life as a newborn vampire. The cover is a metaphor for Bella's progression throughout the entire series; she began as the physically weakest player on the board, the pawn, but at the end she becomes the strongest, the queen. Bella becoming pregnant with the most unique baby in the world!!
FYI:
Where its very important that Bella becomes pregnant!! Meyer decided to include the pregnancy in her story whiles she was researching vampires and came across the legend of the incubus, a demon who could father children.
