I have loved Delena since the very first episode of TVD. They had amazing chemistry, and I was really excited for this ship. But now, about nine months later, I have gotten to the point where I do not want to ship DE. Why? Because of the fangirls.

No one should ever have to stop shipping a couple because of a người hâm mộ base, but some of bạn have made tons of my Những người bạn quit the TVD spot. Because apparently if your opinion isn't pro-Delena, it doesn't count.

A small-portion of DE những người hâm mộ have made it impossible for the rest of us to be proud of shipping them. They spam, troll, and are just plain rude. I am disgusted bởi that small portions behavior.

I understand that DB những người hâm mộ have done some things that way are out of line (no one should be called racist for not shipping a couple), but so have you. bạn ruin all their spots. Spots that aren't for you!!!!

Disgusted bởi this behavior, I once đã bình luận "I am embarrassed to be a DE fan." (something that is still true, bởi the way), and a couple of DE crazies decided to stalk my activity because I am such a horrible person. I'm not sure what they were hoping to find (that I was a DB người hâm mộ in disguise?), but they ended up getting to my yêu thích place on Fanpop, a PR thread for about fifteen girls who are really close. A thread that has absolutely nothing to do with Delena. One of them came on to HJFG and started tearing us apart. Calling us awful people, saying we were just jealous of DE's chemistry (over half of us are DE fans), and just being ridiculously rude.

I really don't want to point a finger at any of you. I know that there are some Delena những người hâm mộ that are very pleasant and sweet, but every single one of us looks like we have mental problems to the rest of FP. So please, small portion of you, cut it out. I'm begging you.

For me i am actually being put off the show itself becasue of their craziness, ive already stopped shipping anyone to do with Damon or Elena because you cant have an opinion if you dont want them together, but now its getting to the point where i am hating the show because of this!

mishy91 Crazy fan girls of any ship need to realize its just a tv show and that these characters are NOT real lol And being a fan of a show or shipping characters is supposed FUN, (you know, that thing that makes you happy and not angry??) not hostile. The overly psycho fans need to realize this and get over it. I myself have never been bitched out b/c of my ship (which is Bamon) b/c i stay the hell away from DE fans and comments that I know will start a whole war via internet lol Lets put it this way, if you wouldnt say a comment to someone in REAL life, like to their face b/c its not nice AT ALL,(and you know when this is) then dont SAY it. Debate is great, I love debating, but attacking is childish and extremely annoying for ppl like me who genuinely do not care what you have to say if all you do is act like jerk to anyone who doesnt agree you. Ok, I'm done. I think thats the longest comment I've ever written about the ship wars that we've all been dealing with. Sorry to anyone who was offended by some of my language, I usually dont swear on here, but I've been bottleing that up since I joined lol.

xoheartinohioxo Please fellow DE fans, PLEASE READ THE DAMN ARTICLE! You aren't doing yourselves any favors by basically ignoring the general message. I love DE. I think they have amazing chemistry, great potential & I can not wait to see how their relationship is developed in the coming seasons. BUT! I don't hate Stefan or Stefan/Elena, I don't go around bashing them or stalking their spot etc. There is absolutely no point in stuff like that. As far as I know, it's going against the rules of fanpop.

angiii7 I'm really sorry about this and I agree with you :/! There are nice delena fans out there! and I know them :D But some crazy delena fans with A LOT OF FREE TIME create fake accounts just to bash other couples and insult other people, that don't think the same way they do and that's really lame! So you should just report and ignore them, because if you start fighting with them, they'll never stop, they're like childs, they don't stop until they get what they want:S Oh! and one more thing! I'm a DE fan and I don't feel offended by this at all;)

laurik2007 i agree with you......i adore them but like all things there is a limit some D/E fans crossed!I truly am sorry for what happened to you....we should all have our own opinions. Me personally try to avoid these kind of things...and so can you...don't let some people ruin you the pleasure to watch a tv show that you once loved...

Mena09 Totally agree...I won´t watch VD anymore actually, these fiction couples and love triangles are getting out of hand. I may like a couple but i´ll not start bashing other couples just because i personally dislike them. I´m not a Delena fan

NateHeartSerena I'm proud to say I'm a DE fan who is not crazy :) I love ALL the characters on TVD. But yeah, there are definately some crazies out there.

swimchick Love the article Laura :D Sorry I didn't see it until now! I'm an SE fan and I love a lot of girls who are in both the SE camp and the DE camp. I really don't care if you hate my ship and you shouldn't care if I disagree with yours. But the trolling and the craycrayness on the TVD spot are the reasons why I'm not sure I even want to watch the show anymore. The show's fine, but really not THAT great. I like Damon, but DE I just am not a fan of, so I wish that the SMALL group of crazies would leave the SANE DE fans and the rest of us alone.

jangirl see the thing is with all of us delena fans. we are just mad because we know in the something will happen and elena will end with stephan. thats how it goes. the show is suppose to be about elena ans stephan, but damon(ian)has stolen the spotlight from them. i wish non of this was true but my heart tells me is not going to end how we the FANS WANT IT.

amshafe I get why you wrote this article, but honestly? You're not helping anything here. What you are doing is actually making the ship wars worse by posting this on a public spot where it can offend people. You should have reported those individuals doing these trolling/flaming behaviors and gotten others to help you or p'med them and left it at that. I am a DE shipper (since S2) and never once have I even gone to the TVD page. A lot of DE fans probably don't. I would also never go to the SE page to start things with SE fans, or troll or flame them or whatever. I would probably disagree with them when it comes to just about everything, why bother arguing? It doesn't matter to me. The only thing that matters to me is what I think, not anyone else. I know you say in this article that this is a "small portion" of DE fans, but by posting this article in a tv couples spot like this and saying things like "every single one of us looks like we have mental problems", you are inviting people to paint DE fans with a very wide brush, as all 'crazies'. And you don't bring up SE fans negatively AT ALL, only DE fans. And believe me, I have encountered crazy DE fans, but also just as many crazy SE fans. It's not a one side only thing, and you make it sound like it is. There are SE fans that will jump all over DE fans and call them names, stalk them, and all the things you mentioned. Especially in other places such as Twitter. So lectures about fan behavior is not going to help anything. You haven't encountered anywhere near every SE and DE fan there is. They all range in age and maturity. I don't think articles about ship wars, especially ones that outright slam a group of fans should be allowed to be posted here. And frankly? Anyone who would think an entire fanbase is "mental" or "crazy" because of a handful of bad fans is just judgmental. If I were to do that, I would think that about the ENTIRE TVD shipping fandom. I dislike SE, but there are plenty of nice SE fans. I know this and am capable of separating SE from the shippers themselves. As I'm sure most shippers are, whether they are DE, SE, or whatever. @jangirl Disagree, but that's a discussion for another day. I am not mad or insecure about Delena at all based on the show's narrative.
