I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. They are different and the show doesn't follow the books so it won't give anything away. The show is way better, IMO.

I loved Both! But i think you should read the books first, but then again maybe not because the show will be premiering soon. I read the books while watching the show. You could do that. You wouldn't get confused or spoil anything. The show and books are different. Same characters but different plot.
