I think the ones who feed on animal blood are not monsters. They are belived as once but for me,monsters are only the ones who kill for fun.

I don't think they are,they come all in all kinds of different personalities in the show,I don't know if they have "souls" but calling them all monsters is a bit excessive for that reason I find that the characters who actually think they're monsters just based on the fact they're vampires and kill/hurt them and even bring others in the middle of the situation just based on thought itself seems a bit close minded..it seems like those characters more the monsters to me..hopefully that sense.
