Caroline was hanging in the Grill when her phone rang. She let out a deep sigh when she noticed it was her ex-boyfriend Matt. “Hey, Matt” she said. “Caroline, hi, I’m glad I can finally reach you” Matt replied. “What do bạn mean?” Caroline asked avoiding. It had been two days since she last spoke to him and she had very consciously ‘missed’ his calls. “Is something wrong? Are bạn avoiding me? Because if bạn do I would understand. I mean, I did break up with you” Matt softly said. “I’m not avoiding you, okay? I’m just hooked into something, I can’t explain it” Caroline đã đưa ý kiến hesitating. “Can’t bạn try? During lunch, maybe? I’d like to talk to you…about us.” Matt suggested. “There’s no us, Matt. Like bạn said, bạn broke up…But girls have to eat, so maybe lunch might be not so bad. Can I call bạn back on that?” Caroline asked. “Promise bạn will” Matt said. “Okay, I promise” Caroline đã đưa ý kiến and she ended the conversation.
“Boyfriend issues, huh?” the girl tiếp theo to her at the bar said. Caroline turned around to view the clearly underage girl drinking beer. And it wasn’t the first one. “You know it’s rude to eavesdrop a conversation you’re not part of” The girl drank from her beer. “I wasn’t eavesdropping. bạn really need to lower your voice a bit” “You shouldn’t be drinking. You’re a minor” Caroline đã đưa ý kiến cold. The girl laughed. “Okay, yeah, I’m a minor, but that doesn’t make bạn my legal guardian, bạn know. And don’t take your problems with Matt out on me” Caroline’s mouth dropped open from unbelief. “I’m not taking anything out on anyone. God, why am I even talking to you?” she muttered, thêm to herself than the girl. She walked away, the girl watching her leave.

Title: To Helen [Poem of Youth]
Author: Edgar Allan Poe [More Titles bởi Poe]
HELEN, thy beauty is to me
Like those Nicean barks of yore,
That gently, o'er a perfumed sea,
The weary way-worn wanderer bore
To his own native shore.
On desperate seas long wont to roam,
Thy hyacinth hair, thy classic face,
Thy Naiad airs have brought me home
To the glory that was Greece,
And the grandeur that was Rome.
Lo ! in yon brilliant window-niche
How statue-like I me thee stand,
The agate lamp within thy hand!
Ah, Psyche, from the regions which
Are Holy-land !
-THE END-
