Chapter 8: Untroubled Repose.
Some time during the staring contest, Rin decided that there was no way she would win against the great demon lord. Quite frankly, it was kind of boring to her. She gave up and moved closer to him. The night seemed unusually quiet disclosing no sound of nothing. There was a slight movement stirring at a distance from the village. It distracted him for a moment, but he quickly refocused on the object of beauty in his hand, the flower.
The night passed rather hasty this time. The flower, too, hastily withered in his care once again. He finally decided it was time to stop staring at it.

"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru."
"What is it, Rin?" He proceeded to stand up and started to walk away toward the village.
"That was the most restful sleep Rin've had in years." She spoke with light laughter as she scurried to catch up to him.
