Capcom Co. this week demonstrated Resident Evil Zero for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The video features the Zapping System which allows users to switch between two characters.
The preview build included the beginning of the title which introduces the two lead characters.
Movement and aim controls were solid and in tune with the original installment. In addition, users can option for new advanced analog controls instead of older tank controls.
The graphics engine was sharp at 30 frames-per-second and well-detailed character models. All rendered backgrounds looked extremely well built and on par or better than the recent Resident Evil HD Remake.
Resident Evil Zero, to be sold early 2016, was released to Nintendo Co.’s GameCube in 2002. It includes S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers and convict Billy Coen and introduced a partner zapping system to switch between both characters.
Resident Evil Zero director Koji Oda and additional staff are returning to develop the new remastered version.
Capcom in 2015 released the Resident Evil HD Remaster.
It has sold more than 1 million units to date.
The Resident Evil franchise has sold 61 million units worldwide to date.
