It's already been proven in games like Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee (and Brawl for that matter), Super Princess Peach, and Super Paper Mario that Peach is more than capable of taking care of herself. I think Nintendo should have Peach play a more vital role in Mario games rather than serving as a damsel-in-distress,

They got to do something. Peach was my fav years ago but now she is annoying me with her always getting kidnapped. We all know she can fight and she can be very powerful when she wants to be.
