Although I am getting a 3 in history (which is bad btw -- 4 is the lowest possible grade), so maybe that says something about my perception...

All my friends are smart, we're the geeky people in our year, and I like reading and philosophy and stuff. But my sister is really clever, because she likes maths and physics, and she's only ten.

Yeah, the other thing about me? I talk too much. Look how long this comment is already.

I'm not sure how you classify "smart" but I do score above average on standardized tests, have a fairly high GPA, and did really good on my AP tests, so I'm smart on paper, at least.

Apparently I have a high IQ (though it's hardly ever noticable *G*) and though I suck in math, I have good grades in languages, I am one of the only persons to speak up in debates in class and I get all right grades in history and geography without doing much.
So I guess I am a bit above average.

However, I think that there's a difference between 'intelligent', 'smart' and 'clever' (I'm using the Dutch words in my head, so it is possible that this doesn't make sense).
The difference is how you use your intelligence. There are many different kinds of intelligence: being smart in day-to-day life, knowing a lot of stuff, having a very logical and reasoning mind, being smart in your relations with other people...

I'm book-smart. Street-smart, not so much, but I'm getting there. Lol.

Depends what we're talking about. If it's common sense, then I'm classified as brain dead.

not a fair question really. there are different kinds of intelligence and no way to measure any. i will say i'm smart, because i'm not ignorant and i have been judged by others as being "smart".
