Chapter One: The Transfer
“Skipper, maybe bạn should take a look at this.” Kowalski swivelled the monitor round to Skipper. “Transferred? Aquarium? California? OTTER?!?” Skipper scanned the document, but it seemed foolproof enough. “How are we going to tell Marlene?” Private asked meekly. “We is a generalization, Private. I’m going alone.” Skipper wasn’t sure he was making the right decision, but if not then he’d just wing it as usual. “Are bạn sure, Skipper?” Kowalski asked, poking up from behind him. “Positive, soldier. If I’m not back before the 0600 hours, come searching for me.” Skipper jumped out the window, off to Marlene’s place, before anyone could add their say to the topic.
“Marlene?” Skipper called out cautiously, knocking against one of the walls of her cave as a door was absent. “Skipper? Are bạn actually knocking? At the main entrance?” Marlene’s amused voice drifted out, followed bởi the con rái cá, rái cá herself. One look at the penguin’s face, though, silenced her. “Uh oh. This looks serious.” She commented, motioning for him to come in. “Marlene…How do I say this…” Skipper felt unnaturally nervous. Maybe “Wingin’ it!” hadn’t been such a great idea after all. Marlene felt a glimmer of hope light up. Was he actually going to confess his feelings for her? “I’m just going to go straight to the point. You’re getting transferred back to your Californian Aquarium.” Skipper looked down, waiting for the con rái cá, rái cá to explode. Instead, Marlene tried to hide her disappointment. No confession, after all. But wait; CALIFORNIA??? “What?!? Skipper bạn can’t just let me get transferred! Do something! Change the transfer document!!!” She waited for him to take action. “Marlene, even if we did that, your name’s already up in the Aquarium’s computer too. We’d have to travel to California and back to take your name off of there too, and bởi that time you’ll already be getting shipped.” He explained. “Well then do that! Let me get there, hủy bỏ the name and then smuggle me out! What happened to the ghostly winds?!?” She exclaimed. “Marlene, that might just work!” Skipper conceded, brightening up visibly. “Great. bạn needed a big genius like a non-military otter, not a whole Commando squad, to think that one up…” Marlene understated ironically. “Ha ha ha. Try not to put up too much of a fight tomorrow when they’ll pick bạn up.” Skipper đã bình luận over his shoulder. “Sur-Wait TOMORROW???”

Chapter Two: Feathery Business (This is just some ngẫu nhiên lovey stuff)
Marlene turned around to face him in a flash. “Oh yeah, didn’t I mention it? You’re getting moved tomorrow.” Skipper explained. “But- But I need to pack my belongings!” Marlene started to frantically pile things up. “Marlene, you’re probably not even going to be staying in that Aquarium for thêm than 2400 hours. What could bạn possibly need?” Skipper asked sarcastically, heading back in. “Well…” For the tiếp theo half-hour Skipper dashed around, picking up objects while Marlene listed them. “…And finally my cushion.” Marlene finished. Picking it up, Skipper saw something underneath it. “Marlene, what’s a chim cánh cụt feather doing underneath your cushion?” He asked, weirded out. “Oh, what? Oh, that’s nothing, literally nothing, it’s…It’s for my artwork!” Marlene blushed furiously and snatched the feather away, stuffing it into a paintbrush jar. “A chim cánh cụt feather for artwork? Where do bạn get such things?” Skipper questioned her, suspicious. “Oh…Ermh…I asked Private if I could have one of his to finish a painting of mine…” Marlene lied. “Interesting, because Private still hasn’t changed his feathers fully yet. That’s an adult penguin’s feather.” Skipper pressed on, growing thêm curious. “Did I say Private? I meant Kowalski!” Marlene desperately tried to drop the subject. “Kowalski’s feathers are longer than that. Trust me, I’d say that that one was mine if I didn’t know better.” Skipper smirked, heading out. “Enjoy your feather, Marlene!” He called out behind him, slipping into the water before jumping over the fence. “Adorable jerk.” Marlene muttered, stroking his feather.
