ABC is thinking of making a spin-off series for the Mad Hatter/Jefferson character. The problem is that Sebastian Stan (who plays Jefferson) isn't able to commit to such a big project, due to filming Captain American 2 and doing a show on Broadway. So, the idea is to re-cast Hatter/Jefferson. They're also thinking that the new Hatter/Jefferson would be a guest star on OUaT.

The spin off I don't give a crap about, especially since the chances of it actually happening are slim to none. ABC obviously doesn't realise that people love the Mad Hatter because Sebastian Stan was one of the few actors who actually a) got a semi-decently written character, and b) acted it well.

If the rumours are true that Sebastian Stan won't even be in season 2 (conflicting reports, many saying he has already left the show, others didn't have any clear information), then I will be very disappointed if the character is recast for the show. Jefferson was the only male character that I liked and one of the very, very few reasons I was still even watching this show. I don't think they will get anyone who would do a better job with Jefferson than Sebastian Stan did.
