robinsparkles97 I'd love love love for him to be Rumple's son, but he's probably not, unless he managed to escape the curse in a way we don't know. I honestly don't think he's a fairytale character at all. He probably write Henry's book. He knows it's all true, and he's there to make sure others know it too. Especially Emma, and he's the one who wrote about her being the savior.

CrossedScarsX The theory that August is Pinocchio is turning out to be the most logical, the more I think about it. 1) If we take Gepetto's words in the pilot: "Me and my boy, we can do it." (in regards to making the magical wardrobe) then that means that Pinocchio was directly involved with the creation of it. Furthermore, How did Gepetto KNOW when he'd finished? There must have been a determined stopping point. You wouldn't just throw the supposed savior in there without knowing what would happen. Which brings me to point two. 2) Gepetto could have thrown Pinocchio into the wardrobe to test it. This would cause Pinocchio to be thrown into our world presumably at about the same time and place that Emma was thrown into. This idea stands up when you take a moment to recall that baby Emma was discovered by the side of the road by a 7 YEAR OLD BOY. 3) August says "Say what you want about me, but I never lie." Nose growing jokes aside, it works with Pinocchio's character. And given that he would have spent the last 28 years in our world, outside of Storybrooke, in the same exact manner that Emma was, it makes total sense how he was able come to town like Emma did. He would have known about the prophecy. Which brings me to point 4. 4) Since Pinocchio knew about the prophecy, and would probably known enough information about the rest of the main fairytale cast's histories, he was in a fabulous position be be, as has been theorized, the author of the book. Spiffy, huh? In short, I now believe that August is indeed Pinocchio AND the original writer of the book. Although I still have a special place in my heart for my crack theory that he is Henry from the future. But I'll just keep that in a corner, for amusement. XD

Catinlap I think he may be both Rumplestiltskin's son and a Grimm like character. He may have become a story teller for his land after he saw what his father had become. I like this idea because if he's future Henry then his interest in Emma is really icky.
