“Yeah, she’s in her room.” Rachel đã đưa ý kiến slowly. “Why don’t bạn go on ahead.”
Liam nodded his head, “Okay.” he was walking over to Atie’s room when Rachel called after him.
“Liam!”
“Yeah?”
“Leave the door open.”
Liam laughed, “Yes, of course.”
Atie heard the a knock on her door and opened it. She smirked when she saw Liam, “Well, can’t say I’m surprised to see you. I had a feeling bạn would come see me.”
“Guess I’m just that predictable.” Liam laughed.
Atie rolled her eyes but smiled, “Well before bạn ask. I’m fine. Yesterday was nothing I was just having a bad day. So there is no need to worry.”
“Yeah, I know you’re fine. But I still worry.” Liam đã đưa ý kiến smiling.
Atie laughed, “Seriously, it was sweet of bạn to stop bởi I’m fine. And I’m not trying to be rude but we have guest coming over tonight so bạn should probably get going.” Atie smiled.
Liam smiled back, “Okay. Can I call bạn later?”
“Yes of course.”
“Good.”
Atie smiled and was leading Liam out the door when he suddenly stopped, “What’s this?” he asked picking up a small baggy and hiển thị it to Atie in shock.
Atie sighed and snatched it out of his hand, “It’s nothing!”
“Nothing!?” Liam đã đưa ý kiến trying to keep a quiet voice. “That’s drugs!”
“It’s just weed, calm down.”
“Atie, this isn’t like you? The Atie I know would never do this.”
“Well the Atie bạn knew is long gone!” Atie snapped taking Liam aback. Atie felt herself feeling bad. “I mean, seriously it’s not a big deal. I’ve just been feeling anxious lately and this helps me calm down.”
Liam sighed, “There are other ways…”
“I know, I know. But for now, this works.”
Liam nodded his head, “Okay, I should get going, but be careful.”
“I will.”
Liam was about to exit when he turned around to give her one last look, “You’re going to be fine. I’m going to make sure of that.”
Rachel waved at Liam as he was exiting and right as he left Robb entered.
“Hey, you.” he đã đưa ý kiến smiling and pulling her in for a kiss.
“Hey.” Rachel đã đưa ý kiến smiling. “Have a seat.”
Robb smiled and sat down as Rachel began to serve them.
“Are your sisters going to be joining us?”
Rachel shook her head, “No, Atie has homework and Rana is leaving tomorrow so she’s just saying bye to everyone.”
“Oh wow, she’s leaving already. bạn okay?”
Rachel shrugged her shoulders, “It’s been surprisingly nice having her around. She definitely changed while in California and she’s helped a lot with Atie too. But California is her dream. I can’t hold her back from her dream.”
“Wow, you’re such an amazing person.” Robb đã đưa ý kiến smiling at her.
Rachel blushed, “Please, stop.”
“One ngày you’re going to learn to take my compliments.” Robb laughed.
Rachel smiled, “That ngày is not today.”
Robb smiled at her, “So tiếp theo week my family is having their homeless shelter benefit bữa tối, bữa ăn tối and I want bạn to come.”
Rachel grimaced.
Robb sighed, “I know the last benefit bữa tối, bữa ăn tối didn’t go so great.”
“No.” Rachel shook her head. “it’s not that. I want to go and I want to get to know your family. Its just that...I mean doesn’t this specific bữa tối, bữa ăn tối have an entrance fee?”
“Oh don’t even worry about it.” Robb đã đưa ý kiến quickly. “I invited bạn so I’ll pay for your ticket.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Rachel đã đưa ý kiến shaking her head. “I can pay the price. How much is it?”
“100 pounds.”
Rachel almost spit out he drink, “For ONE ticket?”
Robb sighed, “Seriously, I’ll pay for it! You’re my guest.”
“No way.” Rachel insisted. “I can pay for it.”
“Rachel!”
“No, seriously, it’s no big deal.” Rachel đã đưa ý kiến smiling.
Robb sighed, he knew there was no way she could afford this but he also knew better than to push her.
Rana was heading home, a bit bothered bởi her conversation with Jasper. Could he not see that they could never end up together? Especially since they now actually lived in different countries.
As soon as she got home, she went to check on Atie. Her little sister, however, was already asleep. And as Rana was about to head out of the room, she noticed the back of weed on her table.
"Oh, no", she whispered, grabbing it. For a moment she wanted to wake Atie up and slap her on the head for being such a stupid bug. But somehow, she didn't. She knew that that would do no good. She sighed, putting the bag in her pocket. She'd flush it down as she went to brush her teeth. And the tiếp theo ngày the two of them would have a serious conversation before she'd leave back to the States.
As she got out of the room, she saw Robb and Rachel sitting on the couch, cuddling and whispering something to each other. And at that moment Rana didn't want to tell her sister about the drugs, because she didn't want to burden her. She sighed, waving them good night before heading inside her room, wondering what to do.
The tiếp theo morning Atie woke up with a fuzzy head. She sighed, burying her head in her hands as she tried to make sense of the mess she'd gotten herself in. But before she could do much, Rana rushed into the room.
"Drugs, really?" she asked quietly as she closed the door. "Are bạn an idiot?"
Atie's eyes widened. "You saw?"
"Damn right I saw, and flushed as well", Rana hissed. "What are bạn doing? Do bạn want to throw your life away? Do not give Damon the satisfaction of ruining your life!"
Atie groaned, laying back down on the bed. "I don't know what to do", she whispered. "I just feel so lost, and so tired. Things didn't work out with Liam, but I still miss him. And Damon was there, and he was nice, and... it was good for a while. And I missed you. bạn weren't here."
Rana felt a sting of guilt as she pressed her back against the door. "I went to school."
"Yeah, to the States, miles and miles away from me", Atie said.
"It wasn't about you."
"Yeah, well, I don't think it was about Rachel, either. Whatever bạn were running from, it was not our fault", Atie đã đưa ý kiến roughly. "And now you're leaving again and I'm going to be all alone."
Rana sighed, rushing over to her sister and hugging her tightly. "I'm sorry", she whispered. "I didn't mean to hurt you. Please know that."
"I do know that", Atie said. "But it doesn't make this any less hard."
Rana nodded, hugging her even tighter. "I'll come and visit bạn whenever I can."
"Yeah, yeah", Atie murmured.
"You could come and see me", Rana offered, pulling back a little with a smile on her face.
"Stop trying to cheer me up, it won't work", Atie whispered as she laid down on the giường and covered herself in her blankets. "Bye."
Rana frowned. But just as she was about to say something, her phone rang.
She walked out of the room. "Hello?"
"Hey", she had not expected to hear Jasper's voice, but there he was. "Are bạn leaving today?"
"I am", Rana đã đưa ý kiến quietly.
"I want to see bạn before bạn go", Jasper đã đưa ý kiến quickly. "Please. Just one last time."
Rana groaned. She knew it would end in nothing good, but what was there to say. "Alright, fine."
"Yeah?" Jasper seemed surprised at her answer. "Meet me in the park."
"Yeah, where else?" Rana asked dryly. "But Jasper, just know that it will be goodbye, okay?"
Jasper seemed to struggle for words, but eventually he said: "Yeah, I know." With that he hung up.
