is it so weird that the ending of john hughes film 'uncle buck' makes me cry everytime?

the very end where john kẹo smile and puts his hand up then then the picture fades and the credits come on? i mean i know it's not john candy's last movie but still there's something about that moment that's like we're seeing him for the last time hoặc something. bạn know?
