Labyrinth Câu Hỏi

have bạn heard that Tim burton has shown an interest in remaking 'Labyrinth'?

Apparentely Tim showed an interest in remaking the cult movie classic 'Labyrinth' at a meeting.

what do bạn think?

i think it would be a flop.but if it had the guy potraying Jareth lip syncing Davids voice in the songs,it might not be that bad...

the film would fit tim burtons style yes, but this film is such a wonderful one, i don't want him to change the image i alreadyt have for the film.

^^ I agree. Although I tình yêu Tim burton films, I don't see the point in doing a remake. For a starters it couldn't have David & Jennifer in it (too old now...) and so it just wouldn't be the same. They should just leave it as it is.

I just saw the xem trước of his idea of a remake of 'Dark Shadows'.....Dark Shadows is a cult classic. I loved it. And I'm sure his movie will be great. But, I don't want Labyrinth to be turned into the same type of remake that Dark Shadows seems to be becoming.....

bạn know i've heard a number of myths about the making of a Labyrinth sequal. The Jim Henson studio's have had on-again-off-again production for a sequal to the Dark Crystal and talks were that if that film did well they might di chuyển onto the Labyrinth 2. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl Henson (jim's daughter and now president of the Jim Henson Foundation) she neither confirmed nor denied this. Although, i've heard that Jennifer Connelly has expressed interest if production was a go.

There have been a few Labyrinth manga sách written based 16 years later with Jareth wanting to retire and have a now older Toby be the Goblin King. Much like the original film, Sarah has to go after him. I like the sound of this plot.

As for Tim burton directing it: God i hope not. I tình yêu the man's original work, I really do. My loyalties still lie with HIS Người dơi films, and Nightmare Before giáng sinh is one of the greastest animated films of all time. HOWEVER his style has become too iconic and somewhat self-indulgent that i think it would distract from the film in the EXACT same way it did to 'his' take on Charlie and the Sô cô la Factory. And if he should stray from the original format and 'make it his own'...i would lose respect for the man. AAAAAaaannd if he cast Johnny Depp as Jareth...well...I'll wait till that happens to make any death threats. But I seriously can't think of many things that would make me THAT irrate. He could produce it though.

LOL – Liên minh huyền thoại wow yeah i wrote this last night in a grouchy sleep-deprived state. Let me clarify that i do enjy Tim burton (though his style and his use of Johnny Depp is somewhat monotonous). But i do tình yêu Jim Henson thêm and the Labyrinth is an important piece of my childhood. So if burton was to take anything away from Henson and Fraud's vision I'd have such mixed feelings.

I'm in one hundred precent agreement with everything you've said. I like Johnny Depp, but I am so tired of him getting any role that's remotely "quirky." I can't think of any actor nowadays that could play Jareth. In fact, I think I might like Jareth to be played bởi an Unknown, hoặc someone who doesn't get a lot of parts. Give a new face a time to shine. Probably be thêm faithful to the original that way.

I'm not too surprised but i think it'd be pretty cool- the only guy i think that could be match for Jareth is Johnny Depp (and bạn know if he auditions he'll put his all into it and do his absolute BEST to bring the role justice). We'll just have to hope that if the film IS redone that Tim will do his best to make it worthy of standing tiếp theo to the older version regardless of who he hires as the main cast (fingers-crossed it's Johnny).

Tim burton is an AMAZING person with such wonderful movies..ok Labyrinth is bởi far my yêu thích movie since i was little and Jim Henson is a legend(may he rest in peace)and Labyrinth is Jim's movie creation that should not be remade..ok it could be cool with Tim Burton's imagination style but it would not be the same with Jennifer Connelly,no one can take her place, maybe bạn can change toby, but even Jareth(David Bowie)could not be played bởi anyone else..it would not be the same..at all! AND...if they just used only computer phim hoạt hình for their creative ideas what would be the point of that? where would the "magic" be? Mr. Henson and the rest of the crew took their ideas, creations, etc and made them bởi hand..that is the real work..not that half đít, mông, ass crap they have now to quicky make a movie..Tim burton like i đã đưa ý kiến b4 is AMAZING and i do tình yêu and respect his work(nightmare before giáng sinh is soooo awsome!)this movie needs to be at it's original state..leave it alone...

I agree that Labyrinth is a league of its own, it just cannot be replaced bởi anyone now that Jim Henson is gone (RIP) and Jennifer and Bowie too old. But deep inside me, I kinda wish they made a sequel earlier. Cos there are so many các câu hỏi wrt their relationship left hanging. Sarah wa a girl then and did not even have a boyfriend before. Will she be able to respond thêm maturely to Jareth's tình yêu if she grew up? And Jareth, can he mature to see that tình yêu is not just controlling someone? There are things I wish a sequel could addressed. But no one can do the job now so I guess we'll just leave it to the fans' imagination. I don't think I will support a sequel even if it comes out, it's not the same anymore.

But I don't really want David Bowie to be replaced bởi Johnny Depp.
And it not likely he would use Jim Henson puppets.
Could he possible have âm nhạc that is nearly as good?

I totally agree. David Bowie shouldn't be replaced and I don't think anyone could come up with any better âm nhạc than what Bowie had written for the Labyrinth. David Bowie is a total god in my world. He is an amazing songwriter and singer.

Honestly, Tim burton is an amazing Director but I have been in tình yêu with this movie since I was a little girl and I don't think it should be re-made in any shape hoặc form and if it was, it definitely should not be re-made bởi Tim Burton.

It would ruin the image. I mean, I have always hoped they'd come out with a sequel because I would've loved to see Jareth and Sarah get together.

If this were to have been talked about many years cách đây & put into motion, I probably would be all for it but David Bowie is getting rather older now and it wouldn't be right to have anyone but him play Jareth in the re-make hoặc in the sequel.

I think that if Tim burton did this movie it could go either way. the good thing is that Adam Pascal could play Jareth. His voice sounds amazingly like David Bowies, he is an awesome actor and very nice to look at too. I am a huge người hâm mộ of Tim Burtons and this happens to be my yêu thích move. I hope if he decides to take it on he does a great job.

I've only recently heard about these rumors about Tim burton so they're pretty old... and I think that they are simply just that. Rumors.

I've read the other các bình luận on here and I do agree with most of you. Tim burton is an extremely gifted man but this movie should NOT be touched. It's a classic for a reason, and without Bowie and the original actors and all the wonderful voices it would NOT be the same.

IF The Labyrinth was remade, I would go see it just out of curiosity. But it would feel horribly wrong to me if they didn't use Jennifer and David again--David is so old now yes, the only way it would work if it was a sequel and if they made the story based years after the first movie. After Sarah defeated Jareth the Labyrinth began to die- as did its ruler. (So Mr. Glitter-pants has grown old and is dying) Maybe she was brought back to save the Labyrinth, and when she does he can miraculously become young and handsome again... They can do that with CG ofcourse...

I hate to say this, but my respect for Bowie would seriously take a turn for the worse if he stooped to enter back into his film 'career' and reprised his role as Jareth, as beautiful as it would be (CGI not required)

To be honest, I think it would turn out to be a great movie. We all tình yêu Tim Burtons phim chiếu rạp bởi now, but we also know that it could never truely beat a classic.
And the movie really came to life with David Bowie, and without him in a remade version, I feel like it would be a different movie altogether, along with the enhanced effects and costumes.

The only way I could see this working and be remotely interesting would be if David Bowie was a cameo appearance as Jareth, passing on the tiêu đề to his child. Maybe hiển thị him and his Queen (sarah?) retiring so that their child could take over and only hiển thị up again if they had to come 'save' the ngày hoặc something...LOL Then David Bowie could sing one song but not be the center of the movie anymore and we could see that he had a happy ending, gaining his Queen and child/children of his own.
Wouldn't it be cool to see, if Jareth had a child of his own, if it would be a girl to become the Queen of the Goblins hoặc a boy to be the tiếp theo Goblin King? Maybe his child would have to traverse the Labyrinth to prove they were fit to rule it, without Jareth's guidance hoặc control, having to learn to exert their own will over its magic and inhabitants.
Now, that I could see as a feasible storyline that I would enjoy watching. Plus, I would tình yêu to see Jareth in the epilogue sense of having a HEA.....LOVE the character!
