Game wise, they have characters and final fantasy like fighting to where the characters can do things normal people can't but other than the the story is different and the series can be said to be as good as final fantasy.

I don't think they are, there both totally different

Okay I can say this confidently as a fan of both Final Fantasy AND Kingdom Hearts....First of all...if it is anything like Final Fantasy maybe its because THE CHARACTERS ARE THERE. Not to mention *SPOILER MAYBE - Sora may be one of the FF7 characters' son. Plus this game has obtained all the rights to have BOTH Final Fantasy and Disney characters in their game. Saying this copied FF is like saying it copied all the Disney movies :P

I doubt Squaresoft/Square Enix would copy anything from their own series. ;)

If there were anything in Kingdom Hearts that was "copied", it ought to be the Disney feel and storyline.

You Cant blame kingdom hearts on what it is because the creators are the ones that made it that way but in any sense they didn't copy and if they did kingdom hearts would still be better then final fantasy
