I wasn't a huge fan of the one in the 70s but I really like the original and the new one quite a bit.

I havent seen the one in way back long ago. But I have seen the new one many times!!!

The 70's King Kong sucked. I loved the original, but the 2005 one was just the koolest!

Come on, people. The 1933 version is classic and recognized by the American Film Institute as one of the hundred greatest movies of all time. It deserves to be number one (not 25%). Peter Jackson admits that his 2005 version is an homage to the original. I love all the Kong films, but Willis O'Brien's animation, Max Steiner's film score, Fay Wray's screaming, etc. add up to what is, in my opinion, the most entertaining flick ever. By the way, I'm trying to get the U.S, Postal Service to issue a set of stamps on the centennial of "King Kong" on March 2, 2033. New Zealand and at least nine other countries have issued Kong stamps. Anyone want to join me in this effort?
