*A/N: I'm so sorry this took so long for me to update. Hopefully I still have some people who are đọc this fanfic. Anyways, as bạn might hoặc might not be able to recall, the idea behind this fanfic was to basically give a little bit of background into House and Cuddy's college days together and tie that into the events in LTEC. This is the chapter in which I attempt to tie the college days that were described in trước đó chapters to a present ngày scene in LTEC. This was a difficult chapter to write because it doesn't really focus on the dialogus but rather, the House and Cuddy's thoughts. Anyways, hope bạn enjoy and I will try to get the 4th and last chapter up soon.*
“Oh, shit, shit, shit. Please tell me what I think happened last night didn’t actually happen and was all part of a horrible dream,” đã đưa ý kiến a dismayed Cuddy as she got out of giường and started to put on a bathrobe.
“Geez, was I that bad?” asked House.
“No, bạn were great. So great that we are probably going to want to do this again,” đã đưa ý kiến Cuddy.
“I’m not seeing what the problem is,” đã đưa ý kiến House.
“We can’t do this again. I’m not ready for this type of a relationship,” Cuddy explained.
"I don’t understand. bạn were the one who led me into your bedroom last night. bạn were the one that wanted this,” đã đưa ý kiến House.
“I know. I was caught up in the moment and wasn’t thinking straight. I’m sorry. I hope we can still be friends,” đã đưa ý kiến Cuddy.
“Friends with benefits?” asked House hopefully.
“No,” replied Cuddy.
“Well, bạn can’t blame a guy for trying,” đã đưa ý kiến House feigning disappointment.
“I got to get ready for class. I suggest bạn do the same,” Cuddy chuckled. House sighed as he watched her leave the bedroom and head towards the bathroom.

“I think we’re supposed to Kiss now,” đã đưa ý kiến a hopeful Cuddy. She couldn’t help herself. She got caught up in the moment again. For that one brief moment, she didn’t see House, the misanthropic jerk, but rather, she saw Greg, the fun-loving and carefree guy she knew back in college.
“We already did that,” đã đưa ý kiến House. The tone of his voice and the look in his eyes implied
that he was also reminiscing about their days in college as well. Then, unexpectedly, his placed his hand on her breast. “It seemed like the tiếp theo logical step,” he explained. The hope that had filled Cuddy’s eyes moments earlier vanished as she came crashing back down to reality. This wasn’t the same guy she knew back in college.
“Really? I’m an idiot for being surprised,” Cuddy responded disappointed in herself thêm than anything for once again getting carried away. She turned around to walk away.
A few hours later, House was sitting bởi the side of his bàn contemplating his relationship with Cuddy as well as other romantic relationships he screwed up, particularly his relationship with Stacy. Looking back on his relationship with Stacy, he realized that the thing that drew him to Stacy was the fact that she reminded him of Cuddy. After all, they were both strong, independent, and intelligent women who could hold their own against him. He had been a fool. If only he knew then what he realized now, he could have spared himself years of heartache. It was then that House was interrupted from his thoughts bởi Taub entering his office.
“Where’s Cuddy?” Taub asked as if he was able to read House’s mind.

Ruins
Once I was whole.
Then I bursted
painlessly
unconsciously
indifferently
but I did.
Now I stand in front
the ruins
of myself
and remain silent
in amazement.
A shadow on a wall
Without turning around
I know
it is you.
Why are bạn here?
Did bạn follow me?
Have bạn come here
to examine
the trái cây of your labour?
And then I realize
bạn suffered
the same.
Both of us were not made
to win
in this game.
The shattered pieces
are not replaceable
not even
to be found.
So both of us
remain silent
and keep on
staring at the ground.
