It has been a ngày since Cuddy had her pre-term labor and delivery. Of course, House was there every step of the way. Aside from the fact that he’s needed there, he also wanted to be there After all those panicky moments, distress and pain of five giờ labor, Cuddy found her self in the nursery, staring down at her new born with a pale blue cloth on hàng đầu, đầu trang of him. “Hey baby,” she uttered with eyes pooled in with tears of joy and the baby responded with a coo while wavy its tiny hands in the air.
“Great job,” a familiar voice sounded from behind. She turned and was right the moment their eyes met. House walked towards them and without removing his stares to the wonder he had done and được trao to the world, he asked, “why are bạn on your feet? You’re not supposed to ---“

Cuddy chuckled and lifted her head up to meet his eyes, “oh it isn’t that bad and unless bạn have a better one to change it hoặc back it up, I’ll stay with the name I’ve chosen.” She returned her gaze to the newborn in front of them and began playing with its tiny hands again as House’s stares stayed on her.
He gave out a sigh and said, trying his best to hide his excitement too, “you want to carry him?” It’s a good thing Cuddy didn’t notice it as she nodded and said, “I’ve been dying to.”
“Take that seat,” he ordered which she obeyed. She watched him hanged his cane on the trolley and carry Liam slowly and carefully. She found it as a sweet moment, if only she have a camera with her, she would have a snap of it. The baby rubbed his head unto his father’s chest as if he already knew who was carrying him. House stared back and didn’t notice a smile was already creeping on his lips. He slowly limped towards Cuddy, letting his pain set on as long as they reached the ghế, chỗ ngồi safely. “Oh there bạn go,” he đã đưa ý kiến as he handed the baby to his mother.

“I’m sure she will.” Silence then followed. House’s eyes were averting on both Cuddy and Liam as she playfully bond with him as if he will now respond as lively as what a five năm old could do. Suddenly, the diagnostician lifted himself up and pulled the chair just beside her because he couldn’t bare the distance between them anymore. He has been standing there for like twenty phút with his eyes only fixed on a certain part of the place, Cuddy’s office door. She wasn’t in the room but he found staring at it wasn’t a waste of time. A man was closer to the door though, he was from the utility department and the moment he turned to face the diagnostician, both of them exchanged a knowing nod.
As the man trailed off, House smiled as he read the words newly imprinted on the glass before him.

“Daddy?” a small voice suddenly entered his sleeping neuron cells, “daddy, bạn have to wake up.” ‘Oh, not again,’ he complained to himself as he pulled a spare cái gối, gối on hàng đầu, đầu trang of his head. This is the third time he dreamt that dream and this is also the third time Liam cut it off. For once, he wanted to go on where his sleeping neurons could take him, at least see what lays after that scene he always land and end on. He tried to set his brain to go back to sleep but there was a quick shake, then another shake followed, then another before he finally decided to open one eye lazily after pulling the cái gối, gối down. The image before him was blurred but he was certain that the brown-haired with icy blue eyes little boy was smiling at him. “Good morning,” Liam greeted.
“Morning,” House greeted back before pulling his five năm old son for a quick morning kiss. “Had a good night sleep last night?” he asked the moment Liam pulled back.
“Uh-hm but daddy,” Liam answered, “you snored.”
“Really?”
“Uh-huh!”
“Really?” House playfully asked again as he ease himself up and was about to grab Liam’s body for a tickle. bởi then, the little boy’s hands were ready to shoo him away with giggles filling in the air in the room.
“No! No!” Liam screamed as House’s fingertips reached the side of his body, “no, daddy, bạn don’t snore!” Then it was followed bởi several rounds of laugh and the giường was turned into a bigger mess the moment House stop, leaving Liam still catching some breathing.
“So,” the proud father asked, “do I still snore?”

“I’ll race bạn down the hall!” Liam screamed as he ran out of the bedroom after both of them got up from the giường a một phút later. Their little gesture made ‘their’ parents smile but both of them merely talked with each other after meeting at the plaza so House could turn over Liam to his mom.
This has been their routine since the ngày the boy turned one. As agreed upon, he stays with his mom and his father took him at his apartment during weekends and whenever Cuddy had some conferences for days. Liam, even as a five năm old boy, understands their situation and was already used to it. “Okay,” she started, “this park is closer to my place. It’s safer and I wouldn’t have like the idea of getting Liam straight from your house.”
“Safer? Why? Afraid of the big cane?” he mocked.
“No, I mean, Liam told me you’ve moved out from your apartment and your new house is something I don’t know where.”
“You could have asked me.” Then silence owned them. House knew he’ll win and Cuddy knew she’ll lose this game. As she stared down at the ground, he returned his glance at the kids before them.
“Yes I moved in to a new house. It’s bigger,” he đã đưa ý kiến without turning his head a bit, “has four floors with six bedrooms minus the guest’s bởi the way.” Cuddy looked up to him, amazed why House bothered buying a house like that when in fact he’s alone mostly in his life. “Liam enjoyed the pool and if Casey comes around during holidays for a stay, she enjoys the âm nhạc room like me.”
Cuddy was about to say something but House went on, “but then I guess it’s too late when I realized I no longer need a big house like that. The better half of my life seemed to prefer to stay wherever she is right now, although I would tình yêu to know she’ll be happy to be with me in our mansion. We made tình yêu twice after our son’s born but she didn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that every time we slept together, I always give my all.”

He smiled remained, with his dimples matching it up, as he said, “why can’t both be true?”
In spite of tears now running from her eyes, Cuddy managed to chuckle. She nervously watched House slid his hand under his áo, áo khoác and she almost fainted the moment he pulled his hand back out. He was holding a velvet box and offered it to her.
“Ohmygod, House,” she uttered still with streaming tears on her cheeks as she took it from his grip.
“No you’re my goddess. I know it sounds crazy but I see it’s just time to…”
House was about to finish his sentence when Cuddy finally pulled out the thing inside the box. Most women surely would get a ring but in this case, she found a key. He kept his mouth shut, but still with a smile too, as he observed Cuddy chuckled once more.
“I just figured maybe it’s just time to di chuyển in together,” he finally finished his line the moment she looked up to see him. He could see her joy in her eyes and as she hugged him tight, he knew it wasn’t just excitement but tình yêu as well.
