Stacy’s eyes weren’t leaving the tiled floor of the hospital hallway and her hands were shaking and were cold. She and Tammy had been there for almost an giờ now after they brought Cuddy in and both of them have blood stains in their shirts and jeans. As much as she’s afraid of what she caused, she’s also afraid of what House might do to her the moment he arrived after Tammy giving him a call of help. Her body weight almost pulled her down the moment she saw him and Wilson hurriedly walked down the short hoặc aisle.
“What happened?” House asked the moment Tammy stood to meet him. His eyes spoke concern and panic and all of them knew he was trying his best to stay calm. The nanny tried to speak but her words were distorted that the doctor couldn’t take note what she’s saying but she was able to come up with, “They,” Tammy’s eyes landed on Stacy and House did the same, “had an argument at trang chủ and ---“
House didn’t let her finish, instead he tightly gripped Stacy’s arm and pulled her with no mercy that made her half-stand from the ghế, chỗ ngồi she took when they came in. “House,” Wilson tried to calm him down but even as a cripple, the diagnostician is stronger than he is. What Stacy feared were exactly the ones she’s looking at; eyes filled with anger, eyebrows heavily meeting each other’s end and a hand that was shaking because of his temper.
“I already told you; take Cuddy and my baby out of what we have,” he angrily said, “or you’ll find your self sleeping in your own coffin!”
Stacey tried to speak up, with eyes now filled with tears, “I’m… I’m…”
“I’m sorry? Suck up your sorry’s I don’t need them!” With that he heavily threw Stacy back and she had her body hit against the chairs before consciously landing on the tiled floor she earlier stared at. He tried to beat her up some thêm with his cane this time but Wilson got between them as he shouted, “House! That’s enough!” Tammy was crying and was shaking as she looked at Wilson trying to help Stacy up.
“If bạn ask me,” the diagnostician stated again, “what I gave bạn is not enough as a payback if something bad happen to them.” He was panting hard as Stacy wiped the blood away from her mouth. The hoặc door opened and a doctor in scrub suit peek out only to shout to the tiếp theo door, “Code blue, I need a crash xe đẩy, giỏ hàng in here! Code blue!”
House’s attention was drawn to the scenario before him. Nurses and doctor hurriedly came in the hoặc room as if there’s an earthquake going on. He limped again as fast as he could and Wilson also hurriedly followed after him leaving Stacy both in drops of blood and tears.
House heavily opened the door leading to the room where Cuddy was in. It was as if the world’s doom were showered upon him all at the same time the moment his eyes landed on her. This isn’t the strong Cuddy he knew because before him was a like withered plant Cuddy with tubes and cords attached on different parts of her body, mostly on her swollen tummy. He wanted to walk towards her but his feet weren’t going anywhere as Wilson stood, also motionless with wider eyes, behind him. A dozen of medical professionals gather to save the woman he loves and his kid all at the same time. He’s House but he felt useless for standing there doing nothing as the tim, trái tim rate machine still sounded flatly.
Electric shock was given. Then another. Then another until Gales cried, “Got a pulse!” He felt a relief but not so for long when a nurse cried out, “Dr. Chase, she’s bleeding!” The room was filled with panic again and he counted in. He threw his cane aside and hurriedly walked to try to save her too but Chase took the vacant không gian he was eyeing on.
“We’re doing the best we can, House. Get out,” his former subordinate ordered as they look at each other. “Dr. Chase!” another cried of help sounded before the Aussie turned his head to look down and tìm kiếm for the nguồn of the bleed and said, “There’s no other way, immediate C-section! Call an OB and a Pedia ---“
“No!” House cut him off as he once again tried to help but Chase wasn’t listening since he’s busy trying to stop the bleed for the moment. “You’re not doing a C-section Chase! You’re not!” the diagnostician cried out as two thêm doctors, excluding Wilson, held his arm in attempt to drag him out.
“GET HIM OUT OF HERE!” and so House was indeed literally pulled out from the hoặc while the rest was left stopping the bleed and was trying to stabilize Cuddy and the baby for the moment.
An giờ and a half later, Wilson was walking down the hallway of the Nursery ward before he turned his head left where he finally spotted House who, to his surprise, was looking through the glassed room filled with sleeping and crying babies.
“I’m sorry,” Wilson said, almost whispering, as he pat House’s back. His friend didn’t bother to look at him but nodded in return. “Cuddy and the baby are both fine, both are stable ---“
“Thank you,” House cut him off while looking at him. His voice was a soft one and his friend knew this is a sincere sign of gratitude which the oncologist also returned with a nod.
“You can, see them now if bạn want to. I’m sure bởi the time Cuddy wakes up, she’ll be looking for you,” Wilson offered but House đã đưa ý kiến nothing as he turned his head to a bundle of blue blanket across the sea of em bé from where he stand. “Is that?” the diagnostician asked, “is that Baby “H” that’s pasted on a trolley over there?” Wilson looked to the cái nôi, núm vú, bassinet he’s talking about and chuckled.
“You’re hallucinating,” House looked at him, “you’re baby hasn’t been born yet.” The silence coming from the man in front of him became the cue for Wilson to continue, “Chase didn’t proceed with the C-section since Cuddy’s OB đã đưa ý kiến it’s fine not to… and the father didn’t consent of doing it bởi the way.”
House returned a knowing smile that was match with Wilson’s. He limped to take the bench across the hallway as his friend remained standing bởi the glass wall. He sighed a relief the moment he felt the ghế, chỗ ngồi touching his bottom; after all, this is all he needed after a hard day.
“I didn’t know Chase still value my opinion that much,” he said.
“Well, I guess he really does,” the oncologist đã đưa ý kiến while taking the không gian tiếp theo to his friend, “he valued your opinion because he also valued his life. Who knows what bạn could do to him after he’s done cutting into Cuddy’s abdomen and pulling your baby out of its due date?” They stayed silent for awhile after the diagnostician chuckled with his friend’s statement but in his mind, he would actually have done the same thing. He knows he’s not being objective and that’s what he feared because not being one might have killed one of the few people he loved and cared. It’s a good thing they pulled me out, he thought.
“You’re not going to see Cuddy?” Wilson asked after ten phút of silence between them.
“I’m still working my anger out,” House answered truthfully. He doesn’t want to walked in her room and let her see how he’d been for the last giờ he knew she was unconscious. He wanted to give her comfort and his anger isn’t one of the ingredients to let her have one.
“I’m sure bạn are.” House smiled to his friend and Wilson tilted his head in agreement before his cell phone beeped once inside his pocket. The hình nền that sprung out after he flipped it open almost made him forget what had happened that day.
“That was sweet of you,” the oncologist đã đưa ý kiến as he also looked at the picture taken of House and Casey in one of their afternoon days together where the usual gruff doctor was smiling and so was the little girl with a big chịu, gấu clipped in her arms.
“She asked for it,” he đã đưa ý kiến as he tried to hide his happiness and let the hình nền still light up on the screen. “You think I should give her a copy? Because I think this will be the last.”
“Seriously?” Wilson gave out a confused look to him.
House sighed and pressed a button to read the message he just received and said, “you know what her mother did. bạn were there when Cuddy almost died, so did my baby. I figured, it’s just rightful to have paybacks this time.”
“You’re not punishing Stacy, House,” Wilson continued even if he thought maybe his friend isn’t listening as it typed his reply in his cell, “You’re letting Casey suffer the consequences she don’t deserve. She doesn’t even know what the hell’s going on right now. Why bring her up in this matter?”
House didn’t bother to listen but he sure heard it. He just doesn’t want to admit that Wilson is making a good point as he stood up and closed his phone before pushing it back down in his pants pocket. “Why?” he asked, “did her mother cared if my baby will be up in this matter?”
Wilson stammered in his reply and House cut him off, “whatever consequences the mother did must also be suffered bởi the kid, Jimmy.” He began to stepped away as the oncologist stood up from the ghế, chỗ ngồi before calling his name and asking, “What about the father?” House turned back to face him.
“Is he really willing to let his kid suffer something she really must not? Fathers protect not terrorize. There must be a pinch of guilt the moment bạn thought of punishing her because of what Stacy did, IF, bạn really is her father.”
The diagnostician nodded and trailed off on the hallway after saying, “I am. Paternity test came back positive.”

When does tình yêu become something we need, rather than something we want? tình yêu was seen as something special a long time ago. Now tình yêu is what we are expected to have with us everyday of our lives. tình yêu is common currency when bạn are a teenager, but turns to worthless pennies the older bạn get. Do we not care about the substance of what tình yêu was and not what it has been made into today bởi commercialisation from American phim chiếu rạp and ti vi commercials and soap operas? Only when we experience tình yêu for real, can we bình luận and judge others who are in Love. tình yêu means something different to everyone. Not two people’s feeling of tình yêu is the same. Why do we generalize, rationalize and compartmentalize Love? tình yêu is and will continue to be an enigma. Only a handful of people will ever unlock it and witness its true beauty and essence. The essence we all crave.
Love.
Love.
