A Happy Life: Chapter 2
[Patients and doctors are bustling around the ER at PPTH. The ER doors burst open as a scruffy bearded man limps in holding and infant in one hand and doing two fingered chest compressions with the other hand. A dark haired woman is right beside him crying and stroking the infants small head]
House: Get me a damn gerny.
[a nurse and a blonde haired doctor run towards the scruffy haired man and the infant. The dark haired woman is walking in trance and crying.]
House: Shes stopped breathing.Get the ice packs! I want my team down here stat!!
[the scruffy bearded man lays the child on the gerny while still doing the chest compressions. The infant is pushed into to trauma unit one. The blonde haired doctor pushes the scruffy haired doctor out of the way. The dark haired woman is crying at the entrance to trauma one.]
Cameron: Out.. let us do our job. bạn are the parents in this case!
[the scruffy bearded man looks at the blonde doctor and then looks at the dark haired woman who is starting to wobble on her feet. He rushes to the dark haired woman just before she starts to fall and catches her.]
House: come on now Cuddy. The kids going to be okay. I'll make sure of that..
[the dark haired woman clings to scruffy bearded man. He hugs her tight to him as the blonde haired woman observes this over her shoulder.The blonde haired doctor walks over to them while she places a hand on her slightly swollen abdomen.]
Cameron: What happened Cuddy? How did House end up with a sick Rachel in his arms? How did bạn end up here together?
[the dark haired woman and the scruffy bearded man look at each other]
House: Lets focus on the kid. She was fussy earlier.
[the blonde haired doctor looks at them both with a raised eyebrow]
Cuddy: she was fussy earlier.. I got up and checked her then when back to bed. She woke us, um. I mean me up later crying. When I picked her up she was really really hot. Oh god.. I just got her she can't die..House grabbed her when she stopped breathing.
[again the blonde haired doctor raised one eyebrow up at them]
House: I want a full blood panel, a CT of her lungs, and a lumbar puncture now!
Cameron: They are already ordered. I did learn something while working upstairs..
