That same night, House heavily opened Pitt’s office door. He burst in his loud but in a calm voice upon entering that made his doctor look blankly at him.

Cuddy looked at him as he slowly approached them. Their eyes met the moment he stood there beside her offering his arm to receive the baby.

House stopped when he realized what he was about to say. Cuddy looked up to him and he made a quick glance at her before trying not to meet her gaze.

She began fixing the bag that was a mess that House was trying to pack awhile ago. She looked at him when she heard Rachel’s cry slowing down. She smiled with the view in front of her, House carrying her daughter as if treating her as his own.

He was about to leave his room when Wilson entered that night. Both of them looked at each other as Wilson slowly walked towards him but he stayed in midway.
