As they rode away Wilson was still taking pictures. He smiled and Sarah and him walked away down the sidewalk. House could feel Cuddy’s grip on him and she could feel his stomach muscles tighten at her presence. They arrived at Le Poisson de Egypte within 10 phút of their departure from Cuddy’s. Cuddy got off first and took off the mũ bảo hiểm so she could straighten her hair. House gave the helmets and keys to the bike to the young man dressed in red. “Thanks.” He đã đưa ý kiến as he limped pass the boy. They walked into the restaurant and up to the check in. “Reservation for 2 under House.” House đã đưa ý kiến to an older man. “Oui!” The man said. House rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to make a smartass remark but Cuddy kicked him before he could. “Follow me.” The guy đã đưa ý kiến with a fake French accent. Cuddy followed the guy and House followed Cuddy. They sat at a nice little bàn towards the back near a window. The bàn had a small candle and little hoa on it. House and Cuddy sat down at the table. “What can I get bạn to drink this evening?” The waiter asked. “Bourbon.” House đã đưa ý kiến looking at the menu. “I’ll have a glass of red wine please.” Cuddy đã đưa ý kiến sweetly taking a look at the menu as well. After a moment of looking House decided he was going to get as did Cuddy. After a couple of moments of intense staring the waiter came over. “Are bạn ready to order?” He asked setting their drinks down. The waiter took their order and took their menus and walked away. House poured himself some rượu whisky ngô, bourbon from the crystal pitcher the amber fluid was in. Cuddy was trying to think of why she invited him in the first place. “So, what is Wilson going to do with those pictures?” Cuddy asked worried that he might use them against her will for things. “I don’t know. Probably post them on his facebook.” House đã đưa ý kiến sarcastically. Cuddy smiled and rested her chin in her hands. They truly didn’t know what to talk about that wasn’t work related. “So how is the hospital…I mean is the hospital falling apart hoặc is the old thing still ticking away?” House asked. “Like all hospitals, it has its flaws. As bạn know the economy is crappy so everybody is hurting money wise. But other than that it’s fine.” She replied. “Tell me about it. My yêu thích hooker went from 25$ an giờ to 35$.” He đã đưa ý kiến with thick sarcasm. Cuddy humored him and chuckled under her breath. “So why did bạn really bring me here?” House asked with curiosity. Cuddy sighed and hesitated to tell him that she wanted to continue the conversation they had in her office. “I…I just wanted to catch up on things. Wilson and I already got caught up on our last outing. I didn’t know he could be so boring.” Cuddy said. House sipped his bourbon. “I don’t invite him over for poker night anymore because bởi 10:00 we’re all sick of his jokes that he thinks are funny. He just comes on his own.” He said. “That’s horrible. bạn should invite him anyway. He probably feels left out.” Cuddy đã đưa ý kiến with a smirk on her face. “I know. That’s why I do it because I want to test his tolerance in our friendship. I tested him to see how much money he would lend me and now I’m testing to see how long he can put up with my crap.” House đã đưa ý kiến with a smirk. Cuddy shook her head and smiled. “You’re a great best friend.” She đã đưa ý kiến sarcastically. A moment passed before anyone spoke. “So when are we going to talk about what bạn really invited me here for?” House asked. Cuddy sipped her wine and looked at him admiringly. “House, I just…your right. There is something specific I wanted to talk about.” She said. House gave her a look as if telling her to proceed. “Remember when bạn asked me if I still loved you?” She asked hesitating at first. House nodded and knew where this was going. “Well I d-” She started but was interrupted. “Here bạn are. Enjoy!” The waiter đã đưa ý kiến setting their meals down. Cuddy looked at House. “Excuse me I just need to go to the bathroom.” She đã đưa ý kiến getting up. House sighed and got up and followed her once she was out of site. He limped into the women’s bathroom to find that just Cuddy was in there. He sat on the sink and twirled his cane around. Cuddy walked out of the stall and jumped as she found House sitting on the sink. “Why are bạn in here?” Cuddy asked a little annoyed washing her hands. “Someone crapped in the men’s.” He đã đưa ý kiến sarcastically. “Thanks for sharing.” She đã đưa ý kiến looking in the mirror to fix her hair and make-up. “So, proceed with the conversation we were having at the table.” House said. Cuddy sighed and stopped fixing her make-up and stood up straight. “I…I.” She đã đưa ý kiến but couldn’t finish and sighed. “Do bạn still tình yêu me?” She asked House. House hopped down from the sink top. “Our thực phẩm is getting cold.” He said. He started to limp away but was stopped when Cuddy clung to him and buried her face in his chest. House was taken back and didn’t know how to react at first but then he put his arm around her. “What’s the matter?” He asked. Cuddy pulled her head up still clung to House. “I just need to hug you. Feel your every movement right now. At this very moment.” She đã đưa ý kiến smiling a slight smile. House understood and tightened his grip on her. She smiled softly at this. “Thankyou.” She whispered. “No problem.” House whispered back. They parted and continued out the door and back to their table. They ate their thực phẩm and discussed House’s crazy clinic patients, the craziest diseases that they have ever had a patient with and some ngẫu nhiên stuff about the patients and medicine. They were both having a great time just talking. House had paid for everything. They had finished their thực phẩm about an giờ before but were still talking and laughing. “Excuse me, I’m terribly sorry but it is 12:00 a.m.” The waiter đã đưa ý kiến interrupting House and Cuddy. “Oh, is it?” Cuddy said. “We should probably head out then.” House said. Cuddy smiled and stood up as did House. She put on her áo nịt, áo nịt ngực, cardigan and they both headed out into the cool night. The young man brought House’s bike around to the front. House handed Cuddy a mũ bảo hiểm and they both rode off into the night. Once they arrived at Cuddy’s house Cuddy had a huge bouquet of hoa waiting for her right on the sidewalk. She gasped at how beautiful the assorted hoa were. “House, thankyou. They are beautiful.” She đã đưa ý kiến đọc the little card that had been placed in the flowers. “I didn’t send bạn those.” He đã đưa ý kiến getting off the bike. “Don’t be modest. They say they are from bạn and it is even in your handwriting.” She đã đưa ý kiến hiển thị him the little card: ‘Cuddy, It was fun getting to catch up. Hope to do it again. –House’. House was puzzled until one name popped into his head: Wilson. “Look, I didn’t send bạn these flowers. Wi-” “Come in?” She asked interrupting him. “What?” He asked. “Would bạn like to come in for some coffee hoặc something?” She repeated herself. “Or something…” House đã đưa ý kiến with a sly grin on his face. Cuddy shook her head and walked hoa in hand, towards her house as House followed. “Make yourself at home. I’m going to put these in some water and get some coffee made.” Cuddy đã đưa ý kiến walking into her living room.
