The fact that edward sparkled turned me off to the movie, and Harry, unlike Edward, could see past his own personal life

Harry cares about his friends and what little he had left of family (sirius). He saved the world. He isnt slefish. And people love him 4 who he is not b/c he SPARKLES (?) or is hot.

Book Edward and book Harry are both great characters. However, movie Harry is better than movie Edward. Ed's too controlling and a bit of a stalker.

Goodness gracious, mr-cullen! Harry is braver than Edward by far. Would Edward try to save the world, knowing he'd probably lose everything, his life...and bella. If losing his life wouldn't make him lose his resolve, then losing Bella certainly would. Oh, and he isn't exactly emotionally strong. In new moon, he nearly went insane when bella wasn't there. He would've killed himself had bella died. Sounds really fake to me. Tell me, would anyone in real life do that? In Harry Potter, we ALL know how much Snape loved Lily...but did Snape kill himself when Lily died? No, he lived on for Lily. He was unselfish because in the end, his sacrifices for Lily won the war. Edward didn't even rack that skull of his about what Bella would think before deciding to pop up in front of the Volturi.

Harry is willing to die to protect his friends, even though his friends are willing to die protecting him. You could saw Edward would die for Bella but we never see any actual scene where he fights someone that he doesn't stand a decent chance with (including the Volturi, he can read their minds so he can predict what they'll do next).

Other than the fact that Harry saved the entire wizarding world (which he did), I just like Harry for Harry. He's a good friend who has, in my opinion, a good sense of humor. He actually got character development, unlike Edward. The reason why I don't like Edward is... he's boring. He is mind numbingly boring, and I don't find him attractive in the slightest.
